How do you end your forum posts?

We all end our messages on the forums some way or another - How do you end long messages or how do you "sign-off"?

For me, I often end craft threads with "Feel free to give suggestions and comments!" as a way of saying that I'm open to criticism and would make any effort to suit their needs. When I ask for support, assistance or help, I often say "Thanks in advance!" and simply either "Thanks again!" or "Thanks for the assistance!"

And, when I ask normal questions, such as this thread, I often end it with..

"How about you guys?"

All right, I'll be honest. I don't really like signoffs where people leave their username. I never go, "Gee, I would never have known who left this message. When will the forums implement the ability to see who wrote a post?" Plus, if you're going to sign off on a message, it just feels jarring to have the post end and then have more content after I thought it was over.

Zucal. This message not directed at anyone in particular, and not meant to be too harsh. Just bugs me a bit.

I find it incredibly annoying. Your post is already (usually) concluded by your signature, and we can always see your name in the top right corner of the post.

EDIT: Woah, 500 posts. Cool. I told all my friends and everyone at school about my achievement :D

By sign-off, I meant the way you conclude posts, not necessarily saying your name at the end :P

The sarcasm is real in that sign-off!

I don't use one, and frequently find that kind of thing annoying if it doesn't actually fit into the post.

Maybe I'm just old and stodgy, but if you tack something on to every post just put it in your sig :D

Same. My name is on the left, along with a happy little picture to let you all remember me if you so desire, and a signature block so I can put a proper signature.

regex. Signing off like this just makes you seem like you're trying to be a special snowflake on the internet made more memorable by using a silly gimmick rather than the content of your posts while ignoring the tools already handed you by the forum software.

And this is why I never put my name on sign-offs.

That's a bit.. insulting though.

I usually end my post with some kind of punctuation, normally a period, but occasionally a question mark. And if I'm feeling especially chipper, an exclamation mark!

But I've been thinking I should probably change things up now and then and veer away from the usual punctuation just to shock people. %
