Booster needs more color and the engines will need a major overhaul. Instead of a cluster of 8, lets go for 6. Easier on the rocket.

I believe 8 is needed for proper ascent. As to color, we will get to it.

There is no such animal. according to NASA, as an EEOC. It is EECOM: Electrical, Environmental and Consumables Manager

Just sayin' since you wanted to keep the positions realistic...

So, manned launch? Anything on the vehicle, lifter, or target orbit?

If you haven't already, and are going for realism, you should make an itinerary of things the astronaut will do in space, like a schedule. If you have a science package, what experiments will be done when? If any EVAs are gonna be done, when and for what purpose?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume NASA plans that stuff out.

Yeah, @legoclone09 is working on the vehicles.  We're probably going into a ~200x~200km orbit.  It's likely that it will happen on a weekend, maybe the 5th of march, or one week later.

I won't be able to be at the launch for the 5th, maybe the 6th? I won't be home that day.

I'm going to wait a bit longer to do a go/no go for the date, but I will remember the 6th.

I have never heard it as EEOC, only EECOM

Yes, it is scheduled for April 2, 2016, time TBD.

EECOM, R&D, and me are working on figuring out the capsule specifics. @WellItExplodedAgain, @legoclone09, and @ZooNamedGames, we should really get back to work on this. Can we get this going? I'll pull up a copy of KSP with Hyperedit to test some orbits.

RSS keeps stalling for me. So I'm struggling to get it to work.

So are you going to plan an itinerary for the astronaut to do in space? A schedule of experiments, EVAs, etc?
