~~~~BUT DOES IT HAVE LANDVERMESSER????~~~~~~~~
No, Landvermesser is part of the Ground Ops (Rover/Lander) pack and is still too janky to be seen in public. I figured I'd start keeping them separate since eventually someone may want just the landers/rovers. Well, I don't know. I don't really care either way, to be honest. Might be easier to lump them all together ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Excellent, will test and report any anomalies. :D
Greatly appreciated, and nice to see you back around!
Glad to be back! Classes are pretty easy this Term, so I've got time to get my hands dirty on some KSP again. I'll be stopping in at the usual haunts again shortly. :D
[EDIT] In fact, my hands are absolutely filthy with config code right now .... updating a certain mod that I was supposed to have finished four months ago. :wink: Ah well. College ... gotta love it.
Nice! but now you've jinxed it...
Here guys, have a WIP of a new folding antenna since they're all the craze now in 1.2 (Gotta step up my antenna game):
This will be a very early tech relay dish for early missions or comm networks. It will be heavy for its size, to balance it out. I expect to be ranged out to Mun, give or take. It's sized to roughly 0.625m folded. Not based on anything, although I sorta though of Mariner when I designed it.
Just downloaded the github version and will test it out. Can/will you include the sciencebox functionality in one of the parts? I made a mk12 radial parachute into one (took out chutes) as it is smaller and will attach radially to my ships, but a dedicated part would be cooler.
Sweet! Thanks.Yes, I will make a science container, but it is not going to be on this next update. I think I'll do it with the upcoming planetary probes (Venera/Huygens). I wish there was a way to limit the amount of samples it can store for gameplay purposes (Hint hint, anyone?). It would be nice to have different capacities that you can upgrade later on.
Speaking of upgrades, I am currently weeding through and adding the new 1.2 part upgrade system to the mod. I'll update Github once I get that sorted out, It's a little messy right now. In other words, there will be a lot more to test. Also, the new antenna is finally in-game.
For clarification, is it the DUST-C? The round plate-looking one? If so, it and ELIX both use DMagic's plugin. I am still inclined to say it is not installed properly.
This should not make a difference as long as the correct DMagic Science animate version is installed. I run my career mode in 1.1.2 and have no issues at all.
HI,
I installed probes plus (incl. the DM Animation) and DM Science in a fresh test install of 1.1.2. Worked like a charm. I reinstalled said mods into my regular 1.1.2. and nothing. Probably one of my many mods is causing problems. And yes it is the DUST-C.
Hmmm... maybe you should look into @Angel-125's WildBlueTools... There has been hot & heavy discussion about it the past few days in TDH... Angel's been in there a lot lately himself...
RIGHT now, there is discussion about "science experiments" capabilities/uses for it...
I will certainly take a look, but adding more dependencies or big features is not in the radar right now. Thanks.
Update
So sorry for the folks that are trying to play (I'm pulling the BETA card), but there is yet another Github Repo update. I fast-tracked some more work since I have been very ugh these few days. You will now find the new antenna and the new 1.2 part upgrade system. I hope it makes sense fo you guys, and please note that not every part will be upgradeable. This will mold and change in the future, I'm sure, but I wanted your feedback. Let me know if you spot opportunities for other parts to be upgraded in these first 13 nodes. Here is how I set it up:
Well, WBT does, IIRC, all the switchinf that FS/IFS or even B9PartSwitch does... So, yeah, would be work to go thru and switch everything over, but you could most likely REPLACE a dependency, rather than ADD another...
Plus, Angel-125 has said once he gets some of his immediate projects off his plate, he's planning on doing proper documentation for WBT... Unlike some of the other "switchers"...
Good to know, although I would only move to another dependency if I had a good reason to. Right now everything is working fine in FS, so I'll hold off until Angel can update his documentation so I can see if there are other modules I can use.
FYI, the PresMat barometer is now showing up in Survivability, but the ProbesPlus version isn't
I noticed that. I fixed it for the next upload. The thermometer also moved, to engineering 101.
Going back and forth as inspiration sets. Back to Surveyor to finish the battery and the soil sampler. Started with the harder part, here is an early WIP. Not sure if I am going to animate it the easy way, or the hard way. Not much else :o Being sick and then actually playing the game hindered progress. Keep the feedback coming on the current Release Candidate!
Can't wait to add these parts to 1.2
Sweet. Thanks. A 1.2 test release is out on Github. I think it's pretty much ready, though I do want to get the Thermal Louvers in the next release
I wasn't paying attention to the exact URL of the github link in the OP and didn't realize it was release specific. Found the test release.
Woohoo
Yep. I try not to do install files for test releases but you can always download the Github Repo for the latest dev release
With a spoon? I think a sharpened thermal radiator fin would be more appropriate in this case.
What's with all the cutlery talk, do you guys want these or not? :P
FYI. These were "Free" meaning that no new textures were drawn. It's not worth too much effort for a quicky part. I may revise them later, but it's fine for now. I'll test these and upload to GitHub later.
Also, due to some change of family plans, I will also not be available for a Dev Stream this Friday. I will try for Sunday, but have no confirmation right now. Please send me your last-minute feedback as I am trying to get this official release out hopefully tomorrow.
Moar parts + 64 bit = very yes, typically :P
beyond looking cool though,... what do they do?:blush:
I still want to keep the texture usage low, but I'll happily add parts as long as it doesn't get too crazy.
The Louvers radiate heat out, cooling the probe internals.
Github Repo Updated
This will be the last push before release unless you guys report issues. I realized, as I tried to make a Mariner replica, that there were no early tech or small sized radial Monoprop engines. So, I uh.. made one. It's internal and can be surface or stack attached to get it on the side like Mariner. Check it out.
Wd7FYJO.png
Also tweaked some tech nodes to allow you to build it by Basic Science, though you have to go one more to Electrics for the Thermal Louvers. Added MechJeb/Engineer configs (Did these MM patches in a new way, please test these if nothing else).
