Stone Blue
So I just saw an official thread posted in the Steam forums, that with all the new changes due to Unity, and that the console versions of KSP cant support mods, Squad will be locking up the KSP API starting in v1.2, and bringing the PC version more inline with the console builds, so that mods will no longer be supported. KSP will then be "Play vanilla...or Go Home!" EDIT: Yes, now that its April 2nd, this WAS a lame attempt at an April Fools joke... Matuchkin
Great, KSP will lose all of its buyers and SQUAD will become what it was, all over again. How lovely.

Without mods, the game will remain with the small amount of limited-use parts it currently has. It won't have any extra utilities, such as a twr or Dv readout. There will be no way to make it an actual simulator, with RO, and players will be confined on a tiny solar system with no realism whatsoever. It will be unplayable. FreeThinker
I will be content with a 1.1 version. At least now we get some stability. And in the Mean time, Squad can work on their Sequel.

FrancoisH
I just read that, I laughed a little and thought... This game would be dead... Look at their team, they hired people amongst mods creator, would be just impossible to do that and survive. So I finally thought it wasn't that a funny joke to make! Seems on the line with the Google one... ...joking as well Edited April 2, 2016 by FrancoisH

SOOO if it was true they where converting pc to console it would not matter becouse NO KSP MODS HAVE T+ RATEINGS! the only restriction to these "console mods are:" No T+ stuff, no coptrighet stuff , and no piracy. At any rate, if that was the case there are examples of 'un-moddable games' like Minecraft where the users who have simply made a new API to mod with.
