The image above is looking towards the mountains from an area a few miles south of my house.

This is looking back towards where my house is. You can see a couple houses on the extreme left, mine if to the right of that, but behind that middle-ground ridge someplace close to the middle of the frame.

Two days of delay, but I finally found time to share some pictures of the launch of PSN 6/Beresheet/S5 (the distance was 5.5 km this time) :

Why do older cameras have to be so noisy? :(

Between the sensor size, the sensor type, the effective pixel, the shutter speed, the ISO, the max aperture, etc. the list is pretty long...

I remember how amazed I was when I first shot with the Sony W100. It was thirteen years ago; a pocket camera with 8 MP and a 16 gb card? Woot woot! Today even a standard cellphone camera could *potentially* do a better work.

With the W100:

With an iPhone 6 (not even an S variant):

Me and my wife scuba dive....  heading to Indonesia next week. This is a capture from a video when we were in the Maldives Islands last year.

Have you noticed that your wife resembles a shark? At least from this angle.

All pictures taken from the Saturn V Center; distance was equivalent to 6.3 km (approx 4 mi)

Small noteTwo hours of traffic jam and in a waiting line before boarding the bus to the spotting location, a rather... "tense" atmosphere between poorly educated/aggressive people, and three hours more on the way back. However, it was so exceptional and intense that no one could have regretted having attended.

As I discovered with Parker in last August, the brightness of the RS-68 burning LH2 is much more intense than the RD-180 and Merlin with their more standard RP-1, and it makes the night shooting more difficult than with Atlas and Falcon.

Went back to the KSCVC two days ago. Because the 39A was free of any Falcon, the bus was able to take the usual pattern before reaching the Saturn V Center.

(The window disturbed the colors, however)

A shot of the LC-39 Observation Gantry, the same place from where I took the pictures of Delta IV and Falcon in February.

And now, a bit more enjoyable for the eyes:

The colors and contrasts are awesome.

That's in Brompton Cemetary. We were just wandering around, and my daughter wanted to walk through it.

Helped that the weather was moody, I think. This is my fave pic from there.

This was my first opportunity to see a Lightning II  :D

Incredible sight! However, if it is stealthy to radar and IR waves, it is far from being about the sound.  I felt like once the AB was engaged ,it was one of the loudest aircraft I ever listen at.

I apologize for this double post, but I thought that some would like to have a little glimpse of FH.

I wasn't able to get better pictures, alas. Today was pretty hot, rainy, and with almost no wind at the surface level (...)

Oh, and I also have some shots taken during the second day of the F-35B five days ago.

I found it rather ironic that it was the R-3350 that smoked the most between both :)
