Must come down over a longer period of time than it does here, then. We typically get our whole allotment of snow for the month in one or two big storms. tater
The image above is looking towards the mountains from an area a few miles south of my house. This is looking back towards where my house is. You can see a couple houses on the extreme left, mine if to the right of that, but behind that middle-ground ridge someplace close to the middle of the frame. XB-70A
Two days of delay, but I finally found time to share some pictures of the launch of PSN 6/Beresheet/S5 (the distance was 5.5 km this time) : (A Star is Born 2 ? Would be more interesting than the first opus for sure...)
Delay
Sunset! Why do older cameras have to be so noisy? :(

I remember how amazed I was when I first shot with the Sony W100. It was thirteen years ago; a pocket camera with 8 MP and a 16 gb card? Woot woot! Today even a standard cellphone camera could *potentially* do a better work. With the W100: With an iPhone 6 (not even an S variant):

XB-70A
Enter the Dragon! (Falcon 9, providing short-termed but powerful artificial light since 2010) B1051.1 reentry burn. All pictures taken from the Saturn V Center; distance was equivalent to 6.3 km (approx 4 mi) Small note: Two hours of traffic jam and in a waiting line before boarding the bus to the spotting location, a rather... "tense" atmosphere between poorly educated/aggressive people, and three hours more on the way back. However, it was so exceptional and intense that no one could have regretted having attended. XB-70A
Some Delta shots As I discovered with Parker in last August, the brightness of the RS-68 burning LH2 is much more intense than the RD-180 and Merlin with their more standard RP-1, and it makes the night shooting more difficult than with Atlas and Falcon. SRB jettison.
StrandedonEarth
I think that's the first time I've seen a DIV fly with SRBs....
XB-70A
Went back to the KSCVC two days ago. Because the 39A was free of any Falcon, the bus was able to take the usual pattern before reaching the Saturn V Center. (The window disturbed the colors, however) (Paint it Black?) A shot of the LC-39 Observation Gantry, the same place from where I took the pictures of Delta IV and Falcon in February. And now, a bit more enjoyable for the eyes: Many more in the spoiler. Spoiler (The natural flare is awful, but you can have a close view of the F-1) Apologies... I'm literally crazy of the J-2... The new (about a year old now) Apollo 1 section is much better than the previous.
XB-70A
Got a good surprise passing over me today! Not a Falcon this time, but a Hornet... I mean a Super Hornet. Edited March 30, 2019 by XB-70A

XB-70A
Beautiful sights overflying us today: A-1H escorted by two F/A-18F: (While two of them are close to stall speed, the other is overspeeding...) Spoiler Time for a solo pass. AH-1F Spoiler A couple of minutes later, the Skyraider got join by a Mustang. Then, the one we were all waiting for eventually arrive... This was my first opportunity to see a Lightning II Incredible sight! However, if it is stealthy to radar and IR waves, it is far from being about the sound. I felt like once the AB was engaged ,it was one of the loudest aircraft I ever listen at.
XB-70A
I apologize for this double post, but I thought that some would like to have a little glimpse of FH. I wasn't able to get better pictures, alas. Today was pretty hot, rainy, and with almost no wind at the surface level (...) Oh, and I also have some shots taken during the second day of the F-35B five days ago. Spoiler I found it rather ironic that it was the R-3350 that smoked the most between both
XB-70A
IT'S... Reentry burn. Taken from Jetty's Park, located at about 22 km from the LC-39A and 9.5 km from the LZ-1.
