Kerbal anatomy and consistency

  1. 1. A question that really bugs me since i play KSP, how to suspect the Kerbal anatomy or consistency? - Kerbals appear to consist of...

    • ... flesh and bones, eh
      34
    • ... kind of fluff?
      11
    • ... titanium and teflon, yeah!
      10
    • ... jelly, sure:D
      11
    • ... vegetables.
      16
    • ... we should ask @geschosskopf, maybe?
      1
    • ... better ask @SQUAD...
      2
    • ... we`ll never know...
      10
    • ... what is Kerbals?
      0
    • ... other, see below my opinion:D

    • ... they are mush...rooms!

They are clearly some sort of mushroom and when they puff they emit some spore to grow even more kerbals, that's why they are not usually afraid of death

Omg, i must add this theory!!! Mush!!! :0.0: Thank you so mush errm much!

I want to say titanium with teflon skin, only because when they fall and slide, there seems to be no resistance what so ever between them and the ground. But then the whole stretchy/contortionist kerbal glitch, as well as them vaporizing into a cloud of smoke on extreme impact, doesn't really support the titanium theory.

So with that reasoning, perhaps some sort of volatile liquid core with an elastic teflon skin :D

I've seen the spore argument before. Can't remember where but essentially it said, Kerbin is one giant fungus, kerbals are fruiting bodies, which have an uncontrollable urge to get to another planet as quickly as possible, in a suicidal fashion. This urge comes from when they "die" they seed the planet they land on turning it one day into another kerbin.

They're likely like plants... being that they are a shade of green and never need food.

This is probably going to turn into a conspiracy theory at some point but who cares :P. If stock Kerbals do not need food, and we are imagining them as if they have their own universe somewhere, what happens when someone mods their universe into needing snacks?! does a new alternate universe that has mods get created?? or do they randomly need to start eating or die!?!?

Now, to get back on topic. I think they are made out of rubber, and their head is made out of fluff. This is how they are able to be stretched by the kraken, and still survive a head first impact with the ground.

I take it as their own little mini galaxy. It's a strange and extremely unusual place where stars and planets form in the exact order over and over. Some create Kerbals that require snacks, some create with more planets, some create slight larger planets and so on.

Also, we get our rubber from the rainforest don't we? So plants are still a viable explanation.

I think it is quite obvious that Kerbals are made of some kind of material.

This material is green, and sometimes other colors. It is able to hold its own shape, but also be manipulated. Also, it is sometimes durable.

This is my theory, and I think it describes the Kerbal material well.

EDIT: It's probably the same stuff they use for rocket fuel.

I think that kerbals are very similar to people except they have a very thick and flexible exoskeleton  and are also photosynthetic, but can still eat normal stuff, just less than humans. This explains how they can survive falls from orbit and be fine as well as being able to survive for a long time in space.

All in all I think they can be classified as extremeophiles.

Maybe their entire universe (stock) is a single solitary atom of Nitrogen (N, atomic number 7). And Kerbals are actually sub-atomic particles.

Well, now you've inspired me to explore this. Expect something that will undoubtedly be extremely morbid.

Haha... Earlier this winter, when I had a sinus infection, I wondered if the entire Kerbol system could have been in one of those many globs of snot (which was almost the same color as Jool) could be "Kerbal inspired"...

I think that they are partially plant partially Animal. So they get everything absolutely necessary from photosynthesis from sunlight and spacedust which is why they can live forever in long term missions. But they can only think when they have snacks. When they have no snacks they act like alcoholics.
