Remove Thread Star Ratings

I've hardly used them, and I think they're pretty useless. What a thread's "star rating" is doesn't affect whether or not I'll read it or post in it. Furthermore, it's highly subjective and isn't an efficient method of conveying opinion. (You can rate something highly, which can already be accomplished with rep, or you can rate it lowly, which leads to unwanted negativity like that of the Green Iron Crown disaster.) So, tell me, what do you think of the star ratings? Do you use them? Does a topic's rating affect how you view the discussion thereof? I think they should be removed for the reasons stated above.

Yeah it doesn't affect anything and (almost) nobody even sees it. The only thing removing it would save is (a tiny bit of) bandwidth

That said, I'm all for removing it, as I am for all totally useless features.

I just wish I could change previous ratings. Threads change and evolve. Something I rated 5-star might turn into a toad while some other thing I 1-stared might be the next Macbeth. Half the time I fat finger the forum while I'm dragging the old iPad screen and accidentally 3-star or 2-star or something a something. 

Or we could just do away with it entirely. Public rep on the first post serves the same vain purpose.

Either remove it or show it in the main forum screen before you enter the thread.

It's open to abuse and should be removed. It serves no purpose other than to spread bad feeling. Kill it with fire.

Yeah, it provides nothing for the thread and often people just hit the 1 star button to troll. It's a waste of space. Remove

I absolutely support removing them.  The only time they are ever used is if someone hates the thread, or absolutely loves it.  (And with that said, it's more often them hating it, therefore creating inaccurate results.)  I've also seen on several occasions it deterring new forum goers when asking newbish questions.

Besides, star ratings on threads are typically a binary deal anyway. you either 5 star it or 1 star it, or, most likely, you never notice it/never use it.
