Piscator
Perhaps he wasn't joking about that nuclear pulse drive ... Seriously though, I assume they removed the engine to have it thouroughly checked for stress fractures and the like.

StrandedonEarth
Have they even done a full duration test-fire of Raptor on the test stand yet? Maybe they’re adding equipment for inflight re-ignition?

Maybe they’re adding equipment for inflight re-ignition? Raptor uses an augmented spark igniter. It can restart whenever it wants, as many times as it wants, as long as it has electricity and props. They haven't done a full-duration test fire of Raptor but they fired the last one continuously on the test stand for a few minutes, I believe. Ultimate Steve
A few people on Reddit have started calling the first "orbital" starship the Stardiver/StarDiver, as it will presumably test the skydiver re-entry pattern.

tater
FH is apparently a little behind schedule, so it might be launching towards the end of the window, instead of the beginning.

ThatGuyWithALongUsername
Wait, I just had an idea- maybe the interstage is white on this FH because the shielding is more expensive and they aren't confident enough in the core stage to spend extra in it yet. Maybe if it lands, we'll see a black interstage on STP-2. Just a thought.
Ultimate Steve
Isn't black the normal color of the interstage? IIRC it is carbon fiber. They paint it for aesthetics and stopped doing it on B5. I don't think that the white adds much extra protection. Maybe Elon decided that FH looked better with a white interstage?

I’m sure there’s a reason why they painted the interstage this time. May have something to with extra hot reentry.
