sevenperforce
I'm guessing the other cameras are all completely kaput.

sevenperforce
No visual signal but telemetry is still sending. Says that it is through re-entry MaxQ. If these engines light back up again I'm going to be SHOOK.

Codraroll
Ooh, a slightly softer pink in the upper left corner, that suggests the metal is cooling a bit, isn't it? It's past max-Q, past Mach 2, so now it might be easier to get telemetry, but it's night-time where it splashes down, so it could be hard for the cameras to catch anything that isn't on fire. sevenperforce
That was absolutely breathtaking. Wow. I really really have no words. I can't believe that flap held.
Codraroll
And we had footage practically all the way down! That's incredible! Well, except for the quiet and peaceful coast phase through space, I guess. But to put it like that, I know which 15 minutes of mission footage I'd rather miss out on.
Flying dutchman
The fact that it made it through reentry with half a forward flap is absolutely amazing!

Flavio hc16
HOLY excrements. this showed in full force the redundancy and how well built it is...it actually pulled off even with a flap missing. We have got the A10 of spaceship

We have got the A10 of spaceship You got one of my few remaining upvotes for that Warthog reference. Clearly a good decision to go with four flaps instead of just the two of the original design.
