Figures. :( It’s just Pudding Day in the cafeteria, idin’ it?

Nah, not that mundane. (Though they used to have food truck lunch days a few years ago... They're too big for that now) Let's just say that it has to do with a recent acquisition by Amazon's streaming service. ;)

They are filming part of the expanse in space?

Now that it's over, I can speak a little bit more openly. No, no filming, but the cast and creators did come by for a tour/Q&A session.

I saw some of the pictures. The cast looks like they had a great time, in fact they are barely recognizable with smiles on their faces. Why is space always so serious?!?

Bit off topic, but man, I can't wait for the first sci-fi series or movie actually filmed in space. That'd be awesome.

It's weird to think that there may be shows that are set in, or even filmed in, space that aren't science fiction or documentaries.

Also weird that this side discussion is actually ON TOPIC for this particular thread.

Mars One’s reality TV idea was bonkers, but Bezos actually has the funding and distribution to make something like that really happen.

Seems like this should go here, though it's an Amazon project:

So they have their own Starlink planned.

New Glenn is going to be very busy.

Jeff is seemingly trying to kick SpaceX out of every business they’re trying to do.

When Jeff Bezos says he's coming to eat your lunch, he's coming to eat your lunch.

For anyone wondering what Starship is for... it's because SpaceX needs a game changing LV, not an incremental change (to merely stay alive).

New Dunning after the first aircraft-to-carrier landing.

This, note that most navies looked like they ignored carriers in the period up to WW2.
They did not, the problem with carrier based planes in 1930 was that they was not very good planes, Very useful as they could do recon and spotting, also attacking submarines and torpedo boats, perhaps even take out destroyers.
Yes you could drop torpedoes but you wanted fighters anyway to eliminating the enemy recon and spotting
