(Though they used to have food truck lunch days a few years ago... They're too big for that now) Let's just say that it has to do with a recent acquisition by Amazon's streaming service. The cast looks like they had a great time, in fact they are barely recognizable with smiles on their faces. Why is space always so serious?!? Also weird that this side discussion is actually ON TOPIC for this particular thread. Mars One’s reality TV idea was bonkers, but Bezos actually has the funding and distribution to make something like that really happen. tater
Seems like this should go here, though it's an Amazon project: https://www.geekwire.com/2019/amazon-project-kuiper-broadband-satellite/ So they have their own Starlink planned.

For anyone wondering what Starship is for... it's because SpaceX needs a game changing LV, not an incremental change (to merely stay alive). This, note that most navies looked like they ignored carriers in the period up to WW2. They did not, the problem with carrier based planes in 1930 was that they was not very good planes, Very useful as they could do recon and spotting, also attacking submarines and torpedo boats, perhaps even take out destroyers. Yes you could drop torpedoes but you wanted fighters anyway to eliminating the enemy recon and spotting
tater
Given Bezos names rockets after "first" US Astronauts, it would be a US pilot. Eugene Ely was the first US pilot to land on a ship. (the ship is USS Pennsylvania)
