Somehow, yes

Pro-tip: 1 Gb is a gigabit, meaning 128 megabyte. 1 GB is a gigabyte. 1 gb is not really anything.

bit = 1 bit
byte = 8 bit

It is one of those cases where mixed up definitions can lead to a world of hurt.

depends on which install I play, I have four, varying from my stock one, around a minute, to my heavily installed one that takes 10 minutes

You just sit there? For ten minutes?

I had eight installs of 0.23.0. That was before I realized that I just had to rename the GameData directory to remove it from the loading. On my school computer, I think I had as many as ten GameData_* directories.

Now that the x64 version is stable, I don't bother with different installs. I don't often play with mods that make sweeping gameplay changes, so there's no incentive to use different installs.

Check my Facebook, Listen to Spotify, Pour myself a Beverage that's about it because I don't have a whole ton of mods, so loading time is roughly 2.5 to 4 minutes max for loading on my saves of KSP.

Fire it up, go to sleep, then school, come back home for lunch, spend the afternoon at school again, come back home and hope it has already loaded.
