Excuse me, I would like to know if the CKAN entry could be changed to not have the Community Tech Tree as a dependency and instead as recommended, I ask this because I'm trying to use the Engineering Tech Tree instead, which already has support for this mod.

Oh dear, I'm getting a download error for this mod, error 404, I think the link on KCAN might be broken, just wanted to let you know, going to go manually install it.

Indeed that is the QSR main intended purpose. You are right about the antimatter endurance problem, antimatter at first sight looks very promising for warp travel or charged particle propulsion, until you realize you need tons of it and the storage isn't exactly efficient. Antimatter shines best for short duration power surges, not longer than a few days, but if you need high amount of power for months that you are better of with Advanced Fusion or QSR

These things generate a ton of heat... I have a ship with a 7.5m warp drive which seems to need 2 QSRs to power it.. even with 4 umbrella radiators scaled to 3.75m I can't keep the wasteheat generation under control. I need to figure out a new way to cool these things. Unfortunately the size and shape of the reactors gives me a large amount of my craft's surface area to which radiators cannot be attached

FYI: At first glance, this has also fixed the issue with the resources popup not being accessible from the Tracking Station.

I have downloaded this mod recently and have been having trouble with some of the parts. I'm playing in sandbox and some parts such as the plasma thruster don't seem upgraded. For example the plasma thruster does not give me the option to run it off quantum vacuum. Most of the other parts are fine, except some of the reactors aren't giving me as high a core tempurature as they should. I would really appreciate help.

Hi and kudos mate, I can finally get this mod running. I really love this mod, it's more essential to me than anything, but I'm also... well, a n00b, I guess. This is the single most complicated mod I know of for KSP, and I would REALLY appreciate some documentation, kinda like the site FractalUK had before. Cheers!

Notice the EM drive produces extreme amount of a lot of waste heat (99% of energy is turned into waste heat) and therefore its power is very limited (compared with other electric engines). As a consequence it's thrust is very limited. But it main asset is not thrust but very high isp , which is hard to calculate but depends on the methods of power production. With Fusion is about 100.000.000 s And you can use it during time acceleration, Use it preferably in combination with persistent rotation o spiral out of of low orbit.

So I'm trying to set up an IR power network around kerbin, and I'm having some issues.

I've got a sea-based 3.75m laser putting out a 9GW signal, which should have a spot size of <10m out to about 3 million km. That part works fine - things directly receiving power from the station behave as expected. The problem arises when I try to use pivoted IR mirror relays. I've tried various setups, but I currently have 4 mirrors evenly spaced around kerbin at about 500km, and I'm having two major problems:

1. The spot sizes don't make any sense. All the mirror rockets have mk1 receivers on them, so I can see what kind of power they're actually receiving. Again, the relay directly above the power station works fine, and shows a spot size of 1-2m, and the expected 9(ish) GJ of thermal power. But when I jump over to one of the adjacent relays, which should have a total travel distance of less than a million km, the first spot size listed (I assume that's the active one) is 40+ meters, and the received power is only about 200 MJ (as I'd expect, given that spot size).

2. If I jump over to the relay on the far side of the planet (so two relays away from the ground station), the first spot size has increased a bit more to about 50m, and the receiver says its not even connected to the network (and, indeed, receives no power).

Soooo... is this a bug? Or is there something about mirror relays I'm not understanding?

If you need some help, see Freethinker's github wiki at https://github.com/sswelm/KSP-Interstellar-Extended/wiki.

Some of the resources might not be up-to-date, but they can still be of some help.

(Also, if you run into something that seem wrong, not up-to-date etc., either post about it here or create an issue on Github, I'll look into it.)

@cthulhum, have you updated to 1.12.7? Just checked with official release, my 3 IR mirror relays work fine, spot size near the moon about 2.5, 3 transceivers placed on the ground near KSC, and one on keostacionary orbit.

After reinstalling everything to make sure Near Future was gone I tried to work with the Quantum Singularity Reactor again. Can someone give me the simplest set up which SHOULD get the Quantum Singularity Reactor to start? I haven't been able to put together anything to get it to start now (yes, I'm in orbit). Just messing around in sandbox and no combination of reactors, generators, and radiators I've tried has resulted in being able to start the reactor. I don't even get any error (like the plasma guarantee error). Just doesn't start. Wondering if my install is borked so I'd like to try something that I know should work in the latest version. Replicating stuff from Youtube hasn't worked.

NEVERMIND. I'm just an idiot. Forgot to set the fusion mode. Man do I feel stupid.

P.S. Is the reaction while it's running supposed to be black colored or blue?

Huh, yeah, I was running 12.6. 12.7 seems to have fixed it, thanks.

I can't leave a flight with out it crashing it will revert and recover crafts but crashes immediately after. I'm using Interstellar Adventure (with has the crash report to) and ground construction.
