This mod is considered complete. I doubt anything new will be added but maybe we'll be surprised.

Meanwhile, try Tweakscale Rescaled to adjust the hub sizes. Maybe that will work with freeiva (which I have never used).

Tweakscaling the 2.5m hub tends to look weird with the 3.75 and 5m parts and I think it borks free iva a bit.

i don't think this mod is playing nice with b9 part switch currently. im getting a b9 part switch fatal error at startup. getting this on game versions current 1.12.5 and 1.3.1 (tried others as well but didn't make note of them). im thinking it "might" be this mod because when i uninstall all mods running version 1.3.1 and install only b9 part switch i get no errors. if i add just Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux along with b9 part switch i get the error. i dropped a note about this in the b9 part switch thread as well just in case im wrong and the issue is on their side. hoping there is a fix, this is a great mod

just gave that a try, no joy. still getting the same error :(. i downloaded version 2.1.1 for ksp 1.3.1.

https://github.com/blowfishpro/B9PartSwitch/releases/tag/v2.1.1

unzipped it then copied the resulting directory to Kerbal Space Program\GameData. then opened ksp via ckan. just want to make sure im not causing myself more issues by using ckan after manually installing mods (ive never used anything but ckan for ksp). also, if there is a different game version i should try other than 1.3.1 let me know and i can give that a try as well. thanks for your help! :)

Post your logs...but why are you using 1.3.1?  And in general you cannot install newer mods on older versions of KSP.  If you use CKAN it'll make sure everything is compatible.

so i just tried installing a bunch of mods along b9partswitch and excluded your Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux. same issue, so your mod is almost certainly not involved in this. sorry for the confusion! ill still take any assistance you might wanna offer, but im "reasonably" confident your mod isn't involved here. again sorry about that and thanks again for your help! :)

so i was trying to install parallax, Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux and freeiva which led to errors. ive only ever used ckan for ksp. i think i remember someone saying they had all this working in 1.3.1, maybe in a steam forum? but that could be a lie. im very happy to move to the newest game version. let me know which logs you are interested in, thanks!! :)

 

p.s. just as an fyi i mentioned in an earlier post that hasn't been approved yet that i don't think Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux is the culprit at this point. but i will still happily accept any help you wish to provide :D. but i don't think this is your issue at this point

I mean, 1.3.1 was so long ago that I don't even remember SSPX being around back then. Plus, so many base game features have been implemented since then that I genuinely don't understand why you'd stay on 1.3.1.

according to ckan ksp 1.12.5.3190 does not support any version of b9partswitch, and as a result Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux. as i believe b9partswitch is a dependency. after asking around someone stated they had both working on 1.3.1 so i gave it a shot. i also gave multiple other versions of ksp a try and had no luck. i simply don't remember the other versions and 1.3.1 just happened to be the last version i landed on before posting. i have no affinity to that version and have since reverted back to 1.12.5.3190

B9PS works fine on 1.12.5, the mod metadata just hasn't been updated in a while. It should be possible to override the compatibility settings and install it anyway - that's what I remember doing, at least :P

You should set ckan to treat versions 1.8-1.12 as compatible. That was the last Unity upgrade and nearly all mods since then will work in 1.12.5. The reverse is not true.  It’s funny that you wouldn’t use b9ps on 1.12.5 because ckan said so, but it also says that freeiva’s min version is 1.12.0.

KSP.log is the log file that is most commonly useful for game behavior issues.

FIXED IT! the problem was, as you all likely guessed, located between the keyboard and chair. somewhere along the winding road of changing game versions it looks like ckan was setting modulemanger to an incorrect version of the mod for the various versions of ksp i was trying. even when i cleared all the mods and only installed b9partswitch it was still defaulting to the wrong version. so it was 100% me, i seem to have annoyed ckan into actual insanity lol. your mod as well as ckan, b9partswitch, freeiva and all the other mods were never an issue. im an idiot. i just wanted to thank you all for your help, i genuinely appreciate it and your mod is awesome!! thank you!

Not sure why you’d ask here and not on the kerbalVR thread…

 

but anyway: yes you can play multiplayer in vr.  However all the normal multiplayer restrictions apply: only one player can be in control of each vessel.

Hi!

I'm using Snacks! alongside SSPR. Currently, when I'm not focused on a vessel, recycling stops, and soil (the byproduct of kerbals eating snacks) piles up until full. I've tried most settings in Snacks! but can't seem to make it work. Thanks!

You should probably ask in the snacks thread. This mod only provides some configs, the actual stuff that does stuff isn't managed by me.

Hey! Thanks for your reply! Yeah I asked there but got no answer. I think the issue is the recycler manages more soil than what kerbals produce, so when it runs out of soil it just stops and doesn't restart. Once again thanks for taking the time to reply, your mod is awesome! <3

Is there any way to make the Telescopic Clamp-O-Tron compatible with the regular Clamp-O-Tron?

I am currently doing a mission in RSS/RO, which renamed the parts to "Extendable NASA Docking System" and "NASA Docking System," respectively, but didn't realize that they were unable to dock until late into the mission.

(edit: solution found, it was related to Realism Overhaul)

They are already compatible with each other when I use them, and also compatible with similar 1.25m ports such as the shielded port.

From the rest of your post (that I snipped for brevity) it seems like you already tried and they failed to dock. Maybe a nearby part is hitting one of the docking ports? Or some other mod is changing docking behavior?

You can only test the extending port after launching. It has no top node so you can't pre-dock in VAB.

I checked my other non-RSS/RO KSP game, and the two docking ports are supposed to be compatible.

I don't know why it's not working in RSS/RO, though.
