Hello,

All the improvement look fantastic but please note that this release is not retro compatible with "old" "deadulus engine" because now there is only a  "deadulus engine2"

q2CFkrT.png

damn,I mispelled it wrong in the past. To fix it, go to GameData\WarpPlugin\Parts\Engines\Daedalus , open Deadalus.cfg and change  "DeadalusEngine" into "DeadlusEngine"

Hello again,

I am getting these errors:

@FreeThinker

Heya! Would you mind elaborating how exactly the sabreheating module is intended to work? Ie, how did you design its functionality?

Inconsistencies found:

Mk2 precooler(mk2x pack), has no intake air, only intake atm. But the mk1 precooler still does have it's original intake air value. I'm assuming you removed it to "force" the use of an intake?

The mk2 precooler also still has no built in radiator!

I also feel I have very little influence on the missing pre cooler ratio, the same set up of parts, when adjusted to different sizes, all have slightly different precooler ratio's. I can not "combine" or "stack" a pre cooler, but, I can add additional radial intakes, but it seems to make no difference. Atleast, not with a practical amount of additional intakes.

I've had nearly identical craft give pretty varying performance aswell. ie, in one flight, the engines did not overheat at all, but with a slightly different aircraft in terms of fuselage, so not engine set up, I had the engines overheat rather early. Missing pre cooler ratio was above 0.5 in both cases. On my last flight, one engine blew up while it wasn't at critical heat levels.

Edit: closing certain intakes is a good way to adjust pre cooler ratio

This mod hides the robotics parts from the breaking ground dlc when building vessels in the VAB

KSPIE doesn't do anything with Break Ground part. I guess this might have something to do with the Filter Extension Mod. Please chech you have the latest version

so .. for the past 6 months or so, minus the 1.5 months I took off of KSP due to a massive house fire... ironically that I'm asking about a heat question, right?  but anyway... every time I use the KSPIE radiator parts, on literally any craft.. the wasteheat is not a problem, but stock heating *is*.  after achieving orbit literally every KSPIE radiator on the craft is *on fire hot* and the stock part/core heat in the right click menu is at or above max.. yet the KSPIE temp indicators are not, and the waste heat is at or near zero.  I've been using this mod for years; this has only been a problem for 6 months or so, was fine before then.. I have no idea what's going on, it's not functionally broken but.. *on fire*.

If i stick to stock radiators, they work.. better, but for some reason when the craft hits orbit they go full white-hot, even though the numbers are well within tolerances.

I'm going crazy here trying to figure out what's going on; I have a lot of other mods, including heat control (recommended in ckan by KSPIE) installed; heat control seems to only be parts, though, it has no DLL of its own.

What can I do to help figure this out // is it even a problem ?  not sure if @FreeThinker can do much about it if it's only cosmetic, but.. would like to have it work like it did before? :)  without all of the fire? :)

Hello again, @FreeThinker

Please note that "Filter Extensions" have a new version 3.2.3.2 (yours: 3.2.2.13 as dependency), is this correct?

When I got the zip normally I get the latest version of that mod, is this correct to try the new KSPIE 1.22.10 BETA for KSP 1.7.3  In the end I am just updating WarpPlugin directory, once I have the others in a later version, and PhotonSail

Wanted to ask if it's possible to penetrate Eve's atmosphere with beamed power to the surface on any band? I've tried and it seems like it just isn't doable, meaning reactor required on ground with ground broadcast station for any local beamed power and I've put some serious power into it. Like at a certain altitude it goes to 100% loss no matter the band or power input.

Well it was intended that you should be able to pentrate thick atmospheres at significantly lower. Have you tried W-band Microwave?  Exactly what transmitter were you using to penetrate the atmosphere with beamed power? Could you indicate that atmospheric preasure which point you lost connection?

These ones don't look a real error, are more a warn of conditional settings on NERVA:

  • Basically the log is complaining, that I don't have "ReStock" Mod Installed, neither "Kerbalism", I am right?

In general the release seams pretty ok, for the things that I am using, until now.

Fairly certain it was a very large antennae, 100 m. I was using LR Infrared,  hooked to tri-alpha.. lost contact around 30,000 meters. This was a long time ago though, it is possible changes have been made since then. W-Band Microwave has the best shot?

Fairly certain it was a very large antennae, 100 m. I was using LR Infrared,  hooked to tri-alpha.. lost contact around 30,000 meters. This was a long time ago though, it is possible changes have been made since then. W-Band Microwave has the best shot?

Alright I taken a look at the code and penetration would be particular brutal for thick atmspheres, so I tweaked it in KSPIE 1.23.1 for KSP 1.7.3

That's cool if that is what was intended! However, is it realistic? That's my goal. If it's truly impossible to get energy down to the surface of such a world then sticking to reactors just seems like a technical challenge.

But now that I think about it.. if sunlight can get down there.. surely IR can.

Well I used an exponential function while it should scale linear with preasure. So the new one is definatly better
