If you literally froze time, all the empty space between atoms would be exposed, and, to the naked eye, everything would completely disappear

No, things would just be really really really really really really really cold. ;)

No, because the light would also be frozen.  Even if you weren't frozen, you'd suffocate.

Smaller animals perceive time going slower than we perceive it, the same way we always see or imagine bigger things move slower than us. This is because the all the neurons and brain connections are shorter in say a fly, and thus transmit data faster.

Right?

Or the flies are just stupid.
And the snails are stupid and also slow.

Speaking of stupid stuff, I've found the best way to end two people's argument. You ready for this?

'Just shut the heck up, you're both stupid!'

Flies are not people. But OK then, flies are clever.

Btw.
Don't we treat as "clever" the species whose habits are similar to ours?
Say, rodents. Rats are clever, and so on.
But how do we know that? They are fine with labyrinths, they hold things in hands and can hide it, they can speak to us (at least, they try).
So, they do what we do. Are they indeed clever, or just similar to us?
Don't forget that rodents and primates are closest relatives (well, hedgehogs and shrews also), we also live in labyrinths, climb on branches, take things with hands, speak. Not because both of us got used to do this in the same way, but just because we do all of this since we were the same species..

Yes.  As a matter of fact, flies can see the dark frames on a TV.

I'm not sure that it would seem any slower, it's just higher resolution.

Or just higher reaction time or FPS?

(i don't think FPS applies to biological beings tho)

Simple systems react faster.

Look, how a fly tries to get out through a window, when the opened part is just in several centimeters aside.
Or how it repeatedly tries to sit on the same place while you are trying to frighten it.
A rather simple algorithm for an expendable single-use unit. It just doesn't have a conditional exit from endless loop.

It's cheaper to keep bombing the same glass with the fly until it dies, rather than develop a complicated homing one.

A few days ago I saw some discussion about cats in this forum, and there was something I wanted to add when I had the time. There's some cat stuff in this thread, but I don't think it's what I was looking for, tho I could be wrong. But close enough...

One of mine comes by name.  Literally the only thing he knows.  Stupidest cat on the planet otherwise.

He knows that you understand him enough to do your house chores.
And believes that the word you are using to address is "Master".

Not a socialist here, but if the far right (most of the government at this time) knew this bit of trivia, hooooooooooo- dang, the debates would be hilariously entertaining on whether to let this pledge exist in any way shape or form.
