Does anyone have a TR mod that removes helmets?

Yeah, yeah, I know, TR already removes helmets. But only the top part. Same with KIS. So does anyone have a TextureReplacer that removes that bottom part that hangs around like a big collar?

Haven't an earthly; I generally don't tinker with EVA kerbals themselves.

However... I vaguely recall that back in the dim mists of ancient time, I had a feature request from a modder to make IndicatorLights compatible with his here-are-some-fancy-props-for-dressing-up-kerbals mod.  Perhaps he'd be a good person to ask?  Lemme see if I can dig up the discussion from the IL thread.

Ah, here we go.  It was this IndicatorLights release, to support Enceos' mod Kerbal Hacks.   Perhaps ask him?  I have no idea if he'd know the answer, but at least he's someone who's tinkered with EVA kerbals before, which puts him way ahead of me. 

@Enceos, by any chance might you have some advice to offer @HansonKerman, here?

@HansonKerman The collar is a part of the same body mesh and is not removable. Nobody traced all the faces of the collar model to make them invisible. My advice is to try the Kerbal model which comes with the Making History DLC,  it doesn't have that bothersome collar. I haven't tried latest versions of TR and KIS, but one of them should be able to remove the helmet from the new Kerbal model.

I just tried out my self that idea.....

They still have the collar but its defenetly smaller.

Okay, I can use the "non-specialist bluesuit", as I call it, as a ground suit?

You could - but AFAIK, you'd have to set the Kerbal to be a Veteran and use the MH alternative suit in all situations.  I don't think you can match the original and veteran styles automagically.
