I never have done that sort of thing. I always just do R&D on my next idea or ssto

Well, the tourists are all gone now, I don't know, might be the season.

R&D just finished our first satelite.

We overshot our orbit...a bit....

But we fixed it.

We don't need the engine anymore, not planning on getting the satelite back.

We've loaded up the Kerbals this time, and also took the oppertunity to do some science.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Kerbin, contracts are stacking up...

About to test this beast, I'm planning on setting up a fuelstation on the Dessert airfield.

Say hi to our newest crewmember, Danlan Kerman, pilot, as you can see he's not (so) stupid.

We will send him to the dessert airfield so he can refuel us on contract missions.

Looking at the map again, we better setup our tanker here, closer to the contracts.

That means no runway and landing a very heavy tanker plane, cool.

 This is not stock but I’d think any body flying these days should be able to use an autopilot 

it is not too hard to use and is able to fly reliably at 4x physical time warp

No, non, njet niet never nooit.

Why not ?

Letting the game fly your plane removes the fun for me, automating everything gets the fun out of the game.

Sure, my flights are boring, but I watch youtube while flying and that gives me some sort of peace.

I want to be the one in control, so it can be my achievement, the less AI, the better in my opinion.

I also don't do saving or timewarp (timewarp only in space, ok...), reverts yes, doeing the whole mission from start to finish.

Everybody is free to play the game whatever they want, but for me autopilot is not my thing.

most times I use it just get to the waypoints faster but  I agree AI takes life away

I remember the old days when cheat codes ruined games for me, it took away the challenge.

The whole reason I still play KSP is because I avoid AI mods.

I've been playing for 4 years now and never landed on Duna, only Mun and Minmus.

I can't even dock in space, but that is something that is still on my list.

I might get there in 2024

I've got a new contract that is perfect for my new refueler setup.
