make mods for 1.3

There are many many many mods for 1.3

Just gotta read the pinned threads to figure that out

 

And I highly doubt you will see any mod maker go out of their way to make a new mod work with an old version of KSP, it's just not practical, so out of the hundreds of mods that are already available for 1.3, don't expect any new ones.

And you can always update your game version to the latest if you find a mod that you can't play on 1.3.

Or you could do what most of us do and copy the game out of Steam first to avoid Steam from steamrollering your install and breaking your heavily modded game.  I have game installs going all the way back to 0.21 or thereabouts; can't remember the exact version I started playing but it was either just before career mode dropped or just after.
The -only- thing I use the Steam version for is updating the game. Which is also why my Steam stats for this game so woefully underrepresent the actual amount of time I've spent in it.. mind you, these days I only fire it up to test and debug mods, it's been -ages- since I actually had time to play

Why? There are plenty of mods available.

What are you looking for, exactly?

I still maintain some 1.3.1 installs and play them from time to time. Including changing mods around. No issue there.

I assume you are offering to make lots of mods for 1.3, and not requiring it of others.

I still play my 1.3.1 save, as it has 80+mods and importing that save into a modern version is just not going to happen.
