Test TS-06 Stack Separator - Bugged?

Recommended Posts

Have to test a separator in orbit of the sun. Whether I right click or use spacebar.... nothing seems to be working and the mission will not complete? Photos attached:

Also on a sidenote - why is the delta V on the flight engineer sidebar vastly different from the delta V on the staging bar area in blue?

I don't know why it's not working.  Staging the decoupler should do it.

I do know the answer to the second question though.

I think your droptanks are empty.  The staging on the left doesn't know that you are going to decouple them before the central tank runs out.

Thanks for the thoughts on the tanks. Contract...... well I"m not sure - nothing is marking it complete. Tried multiple times now different ways. Possible glitch?

Very possible. I'd stage it away and then alt-f12 to "cheat" the game by making it do what it's supposed to do. In the debug menu you can select an active contract and force it complete. You get the money, science, and rep for it just as if you'd completed it... which you have.

As to the difference in the dV readings, another possiblity is that in the VAB, the default dV readings are at sea level. All engines have better stats in space than in atmosphere (except jets I guess) but some engines - and Nukes ESPECIALLY - are TERRIBLE in atmosphere while GREAT in space.

The KER mod doens't require the circuit board to be added to the ship anymore does it?

I think it's a setting in options. I've not used KER for quite some time, since dV readouts and orbit data outside of map mode became stock.
