Create fake celestial bodies, fake parts, and fake part manufacturers in KSP!

I can't think of a poll title but let's just say it's about planet packs vs part packs

  1. 1. Have you ever wanted to create a new celestial body or part in KSP?

  2. 2. If you wanted to make a celestial body in KSP, what would you make it?

    • A new star with its own system of planets
    • Gas giant without moons
    • Gas giant with moons
    • Terrestrial with/without moons
    • Kerbin-like with/without moons
    • Toxic to kerbals
    • Other
  3. 3. If you wanted to make a new part in KSP, what would it be?

Orbital trajectory is hidden and Setting as Target and patched conics don't work

so,  invisible? Only visible for lucky madlads that find it? It would have to be visible when encountered tho.

It would have the little colored circle that all the other planets have, just not the trajectory.  People would know where it is, but they wouldn't know where it will be in the future.

so what abt the orbit details. Will it be just as insane, also,

In the storyline, the easter eggs would provide clues to the orbit of this really far-out planet that's smaller than Kerbin with ruined cities and a polluted atmosphere :P

I suddenly want to send thousands of exploration probes out into the depths of space and start reading the KSP source code.

Yeah, people can see it.

ok

The SSTV hill on Duna is really the only clue about the planet though

yeah... I miss that story. The only thing to replace it woulda been KSS and that’s ded too...

rip story idk-idk

The All is like this giant unknown object that seems to be older than the universe itself, and is grey in appearance and looks kinda like a gaseous world, and is the center of the Kermes galaxy and believed to be the thing that holds the universe in place

ok. Sounds kinda like the Cultivator from Starbound (great game btw, I love it, it’s kinda ded tho :( )

The Klamperture Science M0N0 Omni-Tank

3.75m

Manufacterer: Klamperture Science

holds 500 units Monopropellant

100units Oxidiser+LiquidFuel

150 XenonGas

50 units FrozenSolids

1-4 kilotons, idk how to balance parts

“After demand for a packaged tank of LITERALLY EVERYTHING mostly directed to main manufacturers such as Kerlington, Jeb’s Junkyard, and generally the gods of “whatever you see at the side of the road that seems useful for a planet wide space program”, Klamperture Science delivered. The Klamperture M0N0 provides everything you need for a long space flight. NOTE: You will need some heat to unfreeze the FrozenSolids.”

FrozenSolids can be unfrozen in an ISRU. Idk why, I just was too lazy to think anything else up :/

Its around the size of the smallest 3.75m tank, and has a texture similar to the former large 2.5m monopropellant tank

Celestial Body: Arebone: A Kerbin-sized planet with more tectonic activity and a slightly thicker atmosphere. Has oceans and continents, of course, and is orbited by one moon that looks like Duna.

Part: KV-44 "Giant" Liquid Fuel Engine: 3.75m diameter engine: Slightly larger than Kerbodyne's Rhino, and has a TWR slightly smaller than that of the Mammoth. Manufactured by Rodney Kerman's Engine Emporium.

Manufacturer: Rodney Kerman's Engine Emporium: A manufacturer that manufactures liquid fuel engines, no matter what size. Always comes in handy.

ooo! Those mountain peaks better give me some sweet science. Seems like a pretty interesting place

Planet: Triptych: An ocean planet with little to no landmasses, save for sparse island on it's surface. The main feature is the large area of shallow waters around it's islands, and deep ocean and deep sea surface features such as underwater mountains, cracks, trenches, volcanoes, etc. The atmosphere is full of thick, surface-obscuring clouds making visual observation of planetary features from orbit difficult. In addition, thick fog perpetually blanket the sea, making an attempt to find the island difficult. Kerbol shines dimly on this planet

the Really big flashlight: known as the biggest commercial flashlight available, these bad boys were bought from the local convenience store to light up big dark spaces. It is said that one of these can light up the entire dark side of gilly. they were built by bizgon's electronics.

nuclear lamp: one of the most efficient engines yet, it can be used to reach far out places, and as its name suggests, can show them the light. created by nuclear rockets.

atomic salt engine: an engine so ludicrous it makes the mammoth look like an ant, an engine so efficient it makes the dawn look like an SRB, an engine so powerful it makes the mastodon look like a dawn, all of these descriptions fail to depict how insane this engine is. This thing would have easily made all others obsolete, if it didn't incinerate everything around it. built by mad scientists in white lab coats.

Gigael: a small, sky blue Ice giant about a quarter the size of Jool in an orbit about twice as high as Eeloo's, known for being the most inviting place in the kerbol system. the planet has a small set of rings and 2 moons; mazhard, thanks to its proximity to gigael, is completely covered in active volcanoes, which give mazhard a toxic atmosphere twice as large as kerbin's. luckily, the moon is only a little larger than minmus, so it doesn't easily ruin family photos - benkin, a moon about the size of duna, with a thin atmosphere, and is completely covered in liquid nitrogen, except for the massive wall of kilometer high spikes running down the equator.

Planet Z: a planet so far out it takes 20,000 (smol kerbin) years for it to orbit Once! but, luckily, it is currently at the lowest point in its orbit, which is still 23 times farther out than Gigael. This rocky planet is pitch black and 3 times larger than kerbin, yet is covered in spikes pointier than pol's, so it's pretty much impossible to land on, unless you had a really big flashlight. Planet Z has only one moon, the sadrock. sadrock is the most depressing object in the universe, only half the size of gilly, no one even wants to look at the thing. A few companies proposed bringing the rock to gigael and rename it Happyrock.

IC 8766: this 30 meter lump switches between being the third, second and first moon of kerbin twice in a single orbit. This is thanks to it's near polar orbit, with a periapsis of 156 kilometers and an apoapsis bringing it all the way to the edge of kerbin's SOI. but even stranger is IC 8766's kerbal sized moon, a moon so small that it wasn't given an official name, so visiting astronauts just called it the moon moon.

saddest submoon alive. Idk how that would exsist or be encountered but all ur planets are great lol. If I learn Kopernicus i may make those and turn them into mods (with permission ofcourse)
