Minmus Taster
This is a pointless question but which planet is Rask and which is Rusk in the image?
Lewie
I don’t think the devs have actually said which is which, but I gotta say they (Rask and Rusk) are so stinkin cool.... Edited August 3, 2020 by Lewie

Ok then guess which one is Rusk then wait for the game to come out then check which is which and if you guessed wrong you have to delete your account...JK! I'm guessing left is Rask and right is Rusk as sometimes that people will name planets respectively but we don't know . That might be something the Devs wait to reveal at release. Rask, then Rusk. Who knows... Well the devs, obviously
catloaf
I don't know, but I have a gut feeling that the larger one is Rask. Edited August 4, 2020 by catloaf

Guest
Thanks! I also found this image while reading it and realized something There is lava on the other side of Rask (or Rusk) I don't know [edit for grammer] how I didn't see this before but interesting detail there. I also just saw this but seeing how close the sun is in this shot makes me believe that this planet could be in the habitable zone (or my perspective of the image is bad). Instead, both Rask and Rusk will be able to pull on the vessel at once. Just having 2 SOIs orbiting one big SOI isn't very realistic. Quote One approach to simulating this would be to have an invisible gravitational center point between the two worlds, but this would make orbiting Rask and Rusk just like orbiting any other body, with slightly different parameters for collision, and the side effect that ships would be drawn to the barycenter between the two bodies. We’re aiming for a higher degree of realism. Instead, in the case of Rask and Rusk, we’ll be calculating the gravitational pull of multiple bodies on our Kerbal vessels, so that developing a stable orbit in complex conditions like a binary planet system becomes a new and exciting challenge! https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/dev-diaries/developer-insights-4-ksp2-engineering/ Edited August 12, 2020 by Bej Kerman
