How to turn off elevator music in the VAB?

How do I turn off the 'elevator music' in the VAB?  It's driving me (more) nuts!

You can turn the game's music off through the sound options on the menus, but it's all or nothing, not just in the VAB.

Are you using PC, or Mac? If so, then you can download Soundtrack Editor Forked, and find some new music to replace the VAB. May I suggest the  excellent Soundtrack Editor Forked? You can add your own music to replace the VAB music.

And a very subtle promo as well

@paynterfyou can choose from 6 (iirc) music mods to replace your VAB or you can just... mute your sound. There's no way to remove the VAB's music though

Firstly welcome to the forum!

Secondly, are you mad?! The VAB music is in my top 5 things I love about the game, in fact I plan to have that jazzy one play at my funeral when everyone walks in.

FYI, the [X] Science mod allows you to mute the music in a certain scene without affecting the rest of the game by right-clicking the mod's button.
