Good_Cat
My modest creation from version 1 to version 2 modified for part count. Security Post Clarke otherwise known as The Pit" and not for any good reason other than its a s***hole. "The Pit" the local wild life has some unexpected visitors, not sure it was designed for this much traffic tongue emoticon. Might have a chance now at gettting some repairs done and some expansion pads. Joining the Taxi and the Single Seater Javelin, is its bigger brother twin engine Swingfire looking for the next "dogfight" to get mixed in with. The sleek Brimstone that dwarfs the others two making a pit stop on it way to its next combat contract, best avoided the predator of this sector. And finally making room for a little one a Patriot Medium CrewCargo (crewed for once more often than not a drone core front end) dumping it's load of whatever the love it wants but this time fuel for the station on the lower docking ring and to stop for a beer and some crap food. Good_Cat
Security Post Clarke was overdue its upgrade and expansion, "the Pits" is now joined by what's now being called by those allowed in "the Heights". Twin Taxi spots, 4 smaller Landing Pads 1-Left to 4-Right on the lower deck, 4 Medium Landing Pads 5-Left to 8-Right although these are mainly used as large Landing Platforms 9-Left and 10-Right. Pits Bar on lower and Heights Bar on upper levels. New power core and generators behind main hub. Two ReFuel Docking Rings Primary and Secondary I managed to get the part count down to just over 400, Welding was a pain and didn't like some parts welding them in different angles. So B9 Procedural Wings to the rescue. That's just over 400 minus the aircraft with its back up to 750 odd, lol i achieved so much i went from 750 parts to 750 parts. Vist
It's been awhile since my last post in this thread. :"> Without further ado, I present the KSS Hero of Mun: Lift-off from KSC. While performing standard gravity turn procedure. Assembled and operational around Mun. Currently docked are the KSV Future Quest the Science Lander Mk2. This was inspired by one of the cool B9 Aerospace image albums. :"> Have another thread in the forum that shows a Rover Carrier and a view of Kebin on Mun's horizon with Kerbol in the background. greydragon70
Report from greydragon70 CEO at Jolly Roger Aerospace: This is the biggest most beautiful thing I've ever made in KSP. 3 days of building, launching, and docking. 7 launches total, 2 for refueling. Average fps 2-3fps. Sent the whole thing to Duna successfully. I present Sativa Station, Indica Lab Unit, Drop Out 1, and Refueler 5. 100% Stock Build!! DDRocketsInc
I have been running through a career mode in 1.0.5. So far have 3 generations of Space Station in LKO, all at inclinations of 15 to 25 deg. Generation One had to be extremely cheap, it is loosely modelled on the current Chinese Station:- Took 1 launches, went up fairly smooth orbited for half a year. Stats: 5 Kerbals, 180L Fuel, 2500 electrical (contract requirement), single 'supplies' container, lots of science, 1 manned and 1 unmanned (supply) docking ports, 14T. Generation Two was build to complete a contract requiring lots of fuel, tech tree was not very advanced and design is ugly. The only shot I have is from a docking camera Took 8 launches (multiple failures with loaded fuel tanks). Deorbited as soon as contract was completed. For Generation Three the tech tree was complete enough to build some RCS tugs and (simple) station life support was available. Generation Three is at 21.8 deg inclination, took 5 launches to install and has been orbiting for 190 days. During Construction Built CTS (Crew, Tourist Shuttle docked) Stats: 11 Kerbals, 360L Fuel, 2 solar trusses not fully utilised, 2 greenhouses, one science laboratory, 2 manned and 2 unmanned (supply) docking ports, 2 RCS Tugs, 59T. I give you Hari Seldon Station from my Kerbal Foundation save. It's basically a space hotel and fuel stop. The only mod used I believe was procedural parts for the central fuel tanks and a Modular Rocket Systems 3.75m reaction wheel buried in the center. It is 106 parts and has capacity for 90 Kerbals. This is a good example of Dynamite coming in a small package!! Really nice and innovative build.

HvP
@davidy12 I think you may be referring to @Sippyfrog there. Although I agree, it is a very impressive station. And @castille7 thank you very much. I thought it was somewhat elegant myself if a bit simple. Edited April 3, 2016 by HvP
HvP
Since I seem to be hanging around here tonight here's my latest attempt at scratching a nagging itch in the back of my brain. Kerok Nor station. parts = 327 : LF = 7,020 : OX = 8,580 : Ore = 18,000 : Mono = 485 : Kerbal capacity = Lots and lots... And as you can see from the above stats it has massive storage for ORE. With its small ISRU converter in the lower reactor core powered by 12 fuel cells and 24 RTGs that makes it a working ore refinery, just like its Kardassian twin. I would like to assure you that certainly no Kajorans were harmed in the operation of this station. The Kerbin occupation is but a necessary step in the bringing our two peoples together in a productive and harmonious relationship for the betterment of all... once that pesky resistance is dealt with. It's still a bit of a work in progress as I really should balance the ore/fuel storage. I can't really do much with it due to lag until I have access to the part count advantages of 1.1 however. nosirrbro
The Aos Station, my latest and largest station with 3 orange tanks worth of fuel plus lots of mono propellant, and a capacity for 19 Kerbals. Has 7 modules and took 7+ hours of gameplay to construct on one long saturday night. KalleWirsch
Borg ships in LKO? well... no - just started my first space station dedicated for a Solar Orbit. It will reside on an asteroid. Only thing I need to find out is how to rendevous with an asteroid. Craziest ship I ever built and three times more expensive than all other ships i ever built. So far it's just the 242 tons engine/drilling/refinery part with 48 forward Ion engines and 6 backward Nervs to pull the asteroid. I will attach some crew quarters and a science lab to fullfill some contracts. My first project that will likely never break even financially. A long time ago they had a few pod racers having a lot of fun following the rivers on Kerbin, if you haven't tried that yet you might enjoy it, I never did yet but it looked like lots of fun! Also just an fyi, you might want to keep craft on the craft exchange forum maintainers like to keep things organized on here.
