The Flying Kerbal
Looking at some of the amazing creations you guys have posted in this section, I'm almost embarrassed to show you this, but here goes... This is Solaris, a space station built in KSP Demo. It can hold six Kerbals and it wouldn't take rocket science to have it capable of housing eight. The Cosmos Launch Vehicle with the Solaris on top, goes through final checks and preparations before a dawn launch. "TOWER CLEAR!!!!!" Solaris after orbit insertion, preparing to deploy solar panels and communication hardware. Panels deploying... Fully operational and awaiting the arrival of the crew. The "Solaris Taxi Service", as Jeb calls it, pulls away from the space station after delivering two of the six Kerbal crew. Unfortunately funding cuts could see the station never being fully manned. So that's Solaris, put together in KSP Demo just to see if I could do it. I didn't add any science to it as their was none left in LKO to be gained. However I'm pretty sure I could get this thing out to the moons around Kerbin, although after the outermost boosters are jettisoned, it suddenly takes on the flight characteristics of a drunken pig, and if this should happen, I would be making adjustments to include a Science Department. Oh and one last little detail, I've finally found something for Bill Kerman to do in KSP Demo, he's now the Chief Engineer of the space station "Solaris"! Parts: 87 Mass 9.4 Tons Height 5.5 meters Width 6.0 meters Length 6.9 meters. Edited October 5, 2017 by The Flying Kerbal
dvp
I figured out how to "radial mount" Clamp-o-tron Seniors. That's about 8 separate flights.

Total respect mate... because while I can dock vessels, I would have nowhere near the skill and precision required to put so many different parts so close to other. Seriously neat job! Pi_
Stock ISS, v1.3.0 Assembled in orbit (51.6 deg inclination) with purpose built tugs instead of Shuttle, sorry EJ 30 flights, Parts = 819, Mass = 166.4t (not including the Dragon & Cygnus resupply ships) The complete process documented here: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/164941-stock-iss-approximation-wip/ Edited March 17, 2018 by Pi_ New completed station image, featuring Dragon & Cygnus
septemberWaves
Athena 1, my first space station in the New Horizons system. Designed exclusively for a contract to keep a kerbal in orbit for 30 days; I decided to keep two kerbals in orbit for that time because the one-kerbal spacecraft has been discontinued. I think this is by far the smallest space station I've ever built.

As the part count got to around 500, I began to see the MET clock digits flashing yellow. At completion of the station the clock was steady yellow. The clock lag is 15 seconds of real time per 10 seconds of game time. There is no gameplay lag while working at the station, like when docking a Soyuz or doing an EVA. However there is a noticeable pause on approach to rendezvous when entering physics range. My computer is an i7-4790, 16GB Ram, GTX 970 video card. My computer is an i7-4790, 16GB Ram, GTX 970 video card. Wow. My station has 607 parts and my MET clock is already constantly yellow. I still need a few parts up there - fuel tanks actually. But as you said, EVA and docking is still fine. The rendezvous pause is real. Especially annoying in time warp mode when the game stucks and then suddenly you are already behind your station and have to go another round... My PC is i5-6500, 16GB RAM and a very old AMD R7 265. Maybe a stronger CPU would help
Psychopath
done finally on orbit with one way =P (its station with own traction so may i can fill it from moon and go far away ) this is first station and almost on orbit but the eletric thrusters its low like hell so i edit the ship but looks nice and here bit how i get it up (deployng) (it has really much tons idk exacly) and i get it up with 1 fps LOL !!! (limited game) hate when i finds the limits in any game and i have strong pc ;P +3ooo objects =D the 1st station have tog. with "puller" Edited October 11, 2017 by Psychopath
Psychopath
maybe bit much solar panels ´=D but it should have eletric thrusters before i change it Edited October 11, 2017 by Psychopath
Airdude
Here's my Kerbal Ring station! It consists of three sections: "The Mushroom" Ring, solar panels, and docking ports Antennae array Pictures of the launchers are posted below It's a miracle I even got the first two sections up there, let alone docking them together. Those many hours were worth it. Edited October 13, 2017 by Airdude Reducing picture sizes
JDCollie
My station around Minmus. I still haven't completed the tech tree (so many modded nodes) so the station has a lot of bootstrapping going on
JadeOfMaar
Low Gael Orbit science station (science mode game). My first real (non-sandbox) station. It's got USI life support in it and needs to support its up to 4 crew for half a year at a time. The Wild Blue science system is time intensive. Fancier actual stations will come in due time. HerrCrazi
Nice @JadeOfMaar ! Very realistic look, especially with those little rounded tanks
macbookacer
Since I posted Pegasus 1 I've built another station called Libra. It has a maximum crew capacity of eight and is fully modular. Plus it is also a lot more controllable than Pegasus 1 .
no_intelligence
Hello folks, I just wanted to show you my newest build: The KSS-1 (Kerbal Space Station 1) with a docked Apollo-like Orbiter at the upper-left/upper end of the station. All pure stock. The station is equipped with various scientific things and features 5 docking ports: 1 normal, where the orbiter is docked, and at the docking module in the opposite end 2 normal ones and one senior/junior. It was launched in 8 pieces and is orbiting Kerbin in a stable equatorial 200km orbit. Btw... there are really some pretty ones in here. Nice work, guys! Urus28
Here is my first space station I made last year. It was during my beginning of the carrier mode so without a complete tech tree and a poor docking skill... Hopefully I have a new one under construction
Chel
'Valkryie One' is the station. It's a high (170km) orbit station, used for my science playthrough. I made the 'core' module my lab, because I hadn't unlocked the multihub, and used the science from it to get the multihub. Docking them together was actually pretty easy! https://photos.app.goo.gl/jX11uDSCfm4eLJx12 - The first module, the lab https://photos.app.goo.gl/NF0zNdAKt2npaKy22 - Kimry was not impressed at going up! https://photos.app.goo.gl/qHyyxbOf9YBd2MM53 - Kimry goes out to check everything https://photos.app.goo.gl/E9bNa0TcmeLtYwCJ3 - The core module, going up second! It achieved a record-breaking 1000m/s in only 1 and a half minutes! https://photos.app.goo.gl/Re4t9eqeXpA44rIG2 - Fairings released, unveiling the core module. https://photos.app.goo.gl/FJLAklQJfxiKf83e2 - Docking with the lab https://photos.app.goo.gl/W5AKJbDMrTRxi1z03 - Valkryie One is ready to go! I'll add a reusable crew transfer vehicle, to rotate crews every month. A large fuel tank for refueling, and a crew area. But all that is for tonight! dan_el
Update on my space station (or is it a ship already?) - mounted fuel tanks and some new antennas + 4 poodles. Now I shoot for Mun or Minmus. My tests showed me it takes 1 orange tank to get to Mun (one way). Will be interesting.
