Warp limit in low altitude is way too low.

Agreed. Trying to get to Gilly's surface from low orbit is even worse, as the orbital speed is far lower than even Minmus. Better off using extra delta-v to boost yourself at the moon, but it should be possible to timewarp through this at higher speeds.

What the game can handle*. In KSP1 there were issues on SOI change on high warp, this was solved by forcing the limit to x50 on approach to SOI. Not annoying in the slightest, ensured safe passage. It would only limit the warp significantly when on crashing trajectory, and that was also fine. Here, now, it isn't.

Hi @Dakota, it never made sense to limit time warp in a safe orbit (periapsis outside of atmosphere, not exiting the SOI), since you're guaranteed to still be on that same ellipse no matter how far ahead you warp. Can you please draw some developer attention this way? Removing this limitation should be a very easy change (just taking out the 'if' statements that enforce the limits), and many people will be much happier with your product (scroll up for a small representative sample).

If there's any controversy internally among the team, I'd suggest removing it temporarily for a few releases and seeing if anybody complains. (Nobody will!)

Only? I have no idea. But given that it has an upvote mechanism and that there's a weekly status report covering highly upvoted bug reports, it's probably the most promising way.
