Where to get info

Where is the best place to get up to date info? Is it here on the forums, the Twitter, Threads, or discord? Or do we have to check all of them? I thought the forums would have up to date info but I found out on Twitter that the 22nd was supposed to be a release but then discord said that it was delayed but the forums seem to say nothing about any of it. Or are we supposed to not really know about this stuff? Very confused on the state of the game/development and about communication.

Agree completely. I don't use twitter or discord so was still expecting the next patch to drop today. Very disappointing that it was left to a forum member to repost a tweet about the delay with absoutely nothing from the devs or community managers that I can see.

Scroll to the bottom of the home page in the forums, it shows the devtracker

Yes, I’m aware of that but that doesn’t answer my question. Is discord the place then? Because I didn’t see on discord that the 22nd was a release date, I heard that from only Twitter. I’m just wondering where the single main place to look is or if we have to go on a hunt around the internet for any bit of info like it’s a leak or something.

Past experience has indicated that, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a singular comprehensive place that you can visit for ALL the latest info for KSP2.

The strategy seems to be to intermingle  platforms. For example, it's advised that bug reports are not handled on Discord and only the forums, but at the same time there's a fair amount of smaller dev info that is only posted on Discord, with a ticker on the forums to keep up to date with that.

And then things like Twitter get thrown into the mix. I believe the tweet about the release being delayed was posted on the discord, but then, if you're trying to go to one place to find all the info...

What you have to deal with is to go to the forums, look at the discord ticker, see it point to a Twitter thread, and hope you've got all your bases covered in that way. Just seems convoluted to me!

I'm sure there's a better solution in here somewhere

The #dev-tracker is ultimately the best place to go for the latest information -  as every important comm (like the delay tweet) or extra information we share - will be pinned there.

I know that the embedded version of the #dev-tracker is not ideal for mobile users, and I'd hope I can find the time soon to rethink the way that each of our community hubs are connected - because I agree with you that information keeps falling through the cracks and fans shouldn't have to scour each platform for the latest information.

I think one simple thing would be on mobile the dev tracker should be right below the general tab. It should also be collapsible (and be collapsed by default), that way the newest thing is the first thing that pops up when you open the forums on mobile, and if you want more context you can expand it outwards.

Twitter doesn't even let you see recent tweets on mobile any more if you're not logged in. Mmo champion and wowhead both have a tracker right at the top and it works great.

I just went through this and my order was: Reddit for anyone talking about an update, website for the Twitter link, Twitter borked, check steam news, nothing, come here, check the announcement forum, nothing and assume that's out of date, then here where I found this post.
