WhatALovelyNick
Quote and I know everyone's going to want to put them on something that has engines. Yes, we are: Spoiler Quote I'm really not inclined to make those :( Sad to hear. Quote they're even less friendly to acceleration than the square ones They're could be magnetically focused. But what about dusty plasma ones, then? Those would be mag focused -- I'd only avail them in 1100K + if I make them. I'd really like to make dusty plasma ones but I've only managed to find barely helpful youtube video on just observing some suspended plasma and nothing about shaping it into useful forms that heat or other energy could be passed through it. I have a concept for shining plasma loop radiators but these need a custom shader and a custom partmodule to work properly and the model would include a skeletal loop of coils and supporting trusses. It wouldn't be the whimsical blade-like forms that we all dream of, afaik.
WhatALovelyNick
Okay. (I tried to find some known papers, but suddenly all links went dead) Okay. :( Quote I have a concept for shining plasma loop radiators To use them as whipple shield for an interstellar misson as well? PhotonDetector
Are the SULEU engines supposed to have no TECs (unlike other RR Nuclear Family engines) when you have System Heat installed?

AmanitaVerna
CKAN doesn't seem to know that this requires CRP. I tried to install it with Classic Stock instead and CKAN let me, but then I got a bunch of errors when I actually started the game.

I haven't made CRP a dependency because (in learning from Rational Resources) I'm leaving the door open for Classic Stock, which I haven't started yet. Sorry, I haven't installed Classic Stock or simply left out CRP in a hot minute.

ArgentBlue
If you don't mind me asking, since you added the massive sun/heatshields, do you have any plans to include an engine that could be integrated into them to make a plug nozzle aerospike heatshield combo, like what ROMBUS or stoke space use?
Saybur Stuff
I really like the implementation of those black heat shields. I would love if you could flesh out the heat shield components for Mk2 parts, specifically the one on the nose of this little spaceplane: A similar heat shield that snaps to the stock wings would be really interesting too. In the meantime I’ll happily keep experimenting with this. Thanks again!

That seems to be it.
Infinite Aerospace
This mod supposed to work alongside things like Near Future or as a standalone kind of experience?

This mod is standalone and is mostly intended as "fully alternative late and end game." It's meant to work well with other mods by default, such as Kerbalism, System Heat and Wild Blue Industries but there are, naturally, some points where you may be left hanging, including but not limited to: This mod will not depend on, and as much as possible, will not influence the parts from other part mods. As much as possible, I want my solar panel parts other than the wrapper family to be concentrating/thermal and not photovoltaic. (I don't want to basically remake NF Solar.) I'm not making NSWR or Orion, neither most of the engine types from FFT. Top Isp is great but if I spot a thrusty and reasonable sounding tech I will strongly prefer it. I generally avoid making parts to replicate a spacecraft from some fandom.

I'm not gonna lie, I've installed both (Near Future) and this because the modelling in this is exquisite and I really like the premise of a lot of the parts. I'm not going to make heatshields to fit the stock wing boards. I intend to make my own wing board set which is a size class above and can be upgraded to be heatshielded. Spoiler This is the set. Kerbal standing on the stock 2x2m board for scale. These boards are 0.3m thick (the height of the black stripe on Mk2 parts) vs the stock boards' 0.2m thickness. If any other shapes might be important and are missing, let me know. A trapezoid with a complementary triangle might be neat. And possible other specialty winglets with elevon. The Dressian Exploder
Really good wing parts! Have you considered making some that taper between the thicker size and the normal wing board size? Could be useful for larger non-space planes. Given it's a thicker size, have you also perhaps though about making a wing with an intake?

Actually yes, but I don't think 0.3m is sufficient for that. I've only thought of this with even thicker wings like the OPT ones. And for planes like that one exactly, I think that exact intake would be a feature of the Mk2 fuselage (and would demand the cockpit be Mk1 size only). 20 hours ago, Manul said: Why so small? Bruh. What a way to go with a wings pack. @Saybur Stuff I figure I might as well do the Mk3 adapters (except to Mk2) and some 2.5m fortified noses.
