is it with this version possible to set deposits to fixed places ?

Maybe set deposit origion

Like make ice mineable only on the icecaps of duna?

Or just make it planetwide ?

I found the API but it does not seem very complete..

Hi there! I searched this thread but couldn't find an answer, so I'm wondering if anyone can help me with configuring the Kethane resource itself. Ideally I'd like many small deposits rather than the few large patches that show up on planets by default.

What are these?

MinRadius = 7.29
MaxRadius = 16.2

The amounts are self-explanatory:

MinQuantity = 10000
MaxQuantity = 500000

Does this determine the size of a patch?

MinVertices = 20
MaxVertices = 50

Related to the top two?

RadiusVariance = 0.45

This seems pretty self-explanatory:

DepositCount = 17

Obviously something to do with random generation, but how does it tie in to the number patches above?

NumberOfTries = 30
SeedModifier = 0

So im up and running my kethane ship on duna but I get flame out at about 5k. Once the kintake is all gone engines stop until i crash. Why dont the engines make more kintake once I get lower into the atmosphere?

I think duna has oxygen because my normal engines worked on it :/ (either that or I'm going crazy)

Cashen: In the settings file, change the line to Debug = True. This will enable the debug menu in game which will give you the option to refill the deposit.

There is no 'debug' true/false line in my settings file. Do I have to add the whole thing?

I've made a plugin and for convenience I was going to release it as 2 versions, 1 linked against the Kethane assembly and one not (it tracks charge usage and without the ability to call Kethane PartModule subclasses no Kethane parts would be able to be checked by it). No Kethane objects or code is in my plugin and it requires that people have a Kethane installation to use the Kethane version (KSPs linker takes care of things at runtime). It's just a 'using Kethane' with a couple of method calls into the library.

I couldn't see anything specific in the license about calling the assembly so I thought I'd check in before I release.

Could you post (or PM) some details on what you've made and how it interfaces with Kethane? Use of the plugin as an assembly reference is governed by the license, but in all likelihood you'll be fine.

I love this mod, but what i really want are more kethane detectors in different sizes. The smaller one is super huge compared to some of my probes.. Is there like a parts pack with more converters/dectetors?

I want to make it to where when I kill a kerbal, it gives an outrageous amount of kethane, because, in all seriousness, it's a literal last resort that I would use. I've not lost a single Kerbal yet in over 50 flights this current save, I do not even plan on using this, but if it's possible to change this, I'll make it pretty freaking worth a dead kerbal.
