To follow up... there was an update to the game today, and there were no depot changes, but the launch options were changed to remove the PD launcher. I confirmed this by removing my custom launch options and launching the game.

Well, I don't have an official source...but my GeForce driver got an update on the 16th.  Same day that NVidia apparently updated the graphics settings for KSP2.

There is a post on the Steam forums from April 2023 indicating they optimized the settings then, but that's more than a year old.

I received the update and it included a text list of all the games they included optimizations for. KSP2 was among the list. I suppose if you needed a web source, you can use https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/

So that new driver updates won't render the game unplayable. 

There won't be any effort made toward the road map or fixing issues with the base code.

The base game. The only possible future for KSP2 is by modding, and NVidia will not check them.

So, I have been pondering a few things like when's the next update. are things still active?

I do love this game and kps1 was fun. But after buying ksp2 and watching the trailers I was hooked like the first ksp. Must have more kerbalrifik fun and adventuring thru the Kosmos. Any thoughts out there?
