That's my point. Take Two does not see the value in it, so we ask for it.

I doubt they’ll sell it off piecemeal, I read somewhere (Matt Lowne video perhaps?) that Paradox approached TTi to buy the IP, and the asking price of IIRC $72m was a bit steep.
There are plans afoot, as described in a thread in the network section, to have backup in place in case the worst does happen.

But until we hear otherwise, assume the forums will be here for the long haul.   But it also doesn’t hurt to be prepared.

Having an S&S discord at the  ready  wouldn’t be a bad idea, even when the forum does stay up, having that nifty side chat to blab on about watching launches together, or complain about Orion drives, might be kinda fun.

Okay, what I am saying is when they don't find any buyers for this trainwreck of an IP, I'll just buy it. It'll take some time, I know, but I want this place to belong to us

Yes, I started doing some rough math based on winning the Powerball lottery too.

I suspect that many of the existing ksp discords have a suitable channel for that.  Eg KSP-RO has Space-chat - Discussion of general space related topics (launches/news/anything)

There are "actual rocket scientists" here too, except not all of us have sticks up our backsides.

Different forum cultures and the NASA Spaceflight forum is has an more serious culture.

(After having searched spacetech info there from time to time.)

On serious forums (like various software development or 3d modelling, let alone the fridge repair) it's no need in serious face, because the very topics are dull and serious, unlike on the common blah-blah sites, where nobody is searching for practically useful things.

Hey, I'm the guy who wants to buy the IP anyways

Who doesn't?
