Congrats on release!

I created a lifeless Eve patch some time ago, and I believe it was frequently requested by the players. Will it still work for this version or should I update it?

I support a lifeless Eve patch officially now :)

Yes, unless you're using a planet mod that isn't supported in the list of supported planet mods (link in the OP).

wow good timing! i'm returning to the game today after a while ,and decided to wipe out my old modded mess of an install and start over, and tried The Community Lifeboat Project/modlist [https://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/1cm8n9y/making_ksp1_into_ksp2_with_mods_the_community/]

I was getting infinite (i assume) loading on new game with 'KeyNotFoundException' errors spamming my KSP.log which seemed related to the old Parallex.
Seems like replacing the old Parallex with this version lets me load though (plus it seems i get a bonus terrain mod) .

edit2: the space center was mostly flat white with a few outlines on some buildings, but seems it was just because my 'terrain detail' wasn't set to high.

am i the only one who thinks the mun looks worse now? as far as i can tell the scattering didnt change and from orbit its just the default mun, also, whenever i have my camera on the mun i get a lag spike to drop fps down to 30 ish, parallax 2.0 ran much better and looked better on the mun, what is happening because this might be a deal breaker for me but other than that great mod!

Sounds like an installation issue. It couldn't hurt to post your logs!

Hey this is awesome! I hope you don't mind me asking but I was wondering if you'll work on a ksrss version/config/compatibility of this at some point? I know in the post on github you mentioned that its 'broken', but if you don't mind me asking in what way? And is it anything the user can fix? With the original parallax it only required the removal of _config for example.

This looks very impressive.  Excellent work Linx!

I run on Linux, but i do not run through Steam / Proton.  What will happen if i install and run without Proton?  Massive failure to launch, i'm guessing?   Will there ever be a version of this that will run without a DX11 compatibility layer?   Or am i "stuck" with Parallax 2?

It'll run fine on Linux OpenGL but there are, like with parallax 2, some artifacts here and there because of the dual camera setup KSP uses when running OpenGL

I have no plans to work on configs for other planet packs. You'll have to wait it out for usable ksrss configs
