aesthetics
I give you the Kaster Mk1She can comfortably get an LKO, and using a bit of mono, can hit 500K+ HKO'sand what is an SSTO without a sleek interplanetary dock?(granted you have to save the dock as a sub, and strap it on a rocket to get it there) Edited August 17, 2014 by aesthetics forgot pic! Fellow314
The Big D SSTO Duna mission.Launches with only one pilot and a part load of fuel, then the tanker takes up the crew and fills her up with high grade dinosaur juice. Then, if you've forgotten to load the crew on the tanker mission, you can use the shuttle. To be honest, I haven't made it back yet so the actual mission plane does not come with a warranty. I recon it should land...Javascript is disabled. Ravenchant
My first in a while, it's easy to forget what a pain it is to design a useful SSTO in the stock game.Sokol 2 - it can bring 1 Kerbal and about 2 tons of cargo to orbit. The payload bay is only meant for 1m parts, though
Kialar
Oh. I admit, I am proud. Several weeks ago I did my first SSTO space plane (1 crew). After many hours of refining I present the ExS-Class KSC-To-Orbit-Shuttle with 3 crew members in flight over Kerbin.I now go celebrate and eat some snack. \o/EDIT: Completely Stock, no part clipping, 0.24.2, career mode, payed by KISE. MisterDoubleSevens
My first SSTO ever, 100% stock, with (surprisingly) no part clipping. Well, no part clipping that isn't allowed by the weirdness that is attaching things to wings. This particular screen is from a less-than-ideal launch. My angle of attack was far too high, so I was moving too slowly for my intakes to work above 25km when I know they can work at 55km. Which is why I used up half my rocket fuel getting such a low orbit (the Rockomax 48-7S engines are not fond of atmospheric work).

Trann
I'm very new to SSTOs and last night, I not only stumbled into orbit with plenty of fuel, but I survived an unpowered/gliding descent. I was so amazed, I had to do it again tonight to confirm it wasn't a one-time fluke. Here is that flight. After funding over half a million in experimental test flights, this is the plane that got me there and back, twice. She ain't pretty but -- check that: she *is* pretty *and* she's mine. Rolled until the touchdown markers then pulled the nose back to 15 degrees, wheels up, feet wet.At 30k and nearly 0.02 intake air, it's time to level off, switch to rockets, and grab some speed until...Circularized at sunrise! The fun part is coming home. My deorbit burn to KSC.The glide path is good.Atmospheric re-entry (sans higher graphics settings KSC overflight.Banking turn.A little left...A little right... (repeat, a lot)Lined up.Wheels down, feet dry.Flare to touchdown.I'm amazed. Thanks for browsing. Edited August 29, 2014 by Trann

Roflcopterkklol
I think i went a bit over board with Zeus. All made with 100% stock parts, including the custom fuel tank, who needs orange fuel tanks in an SSTO anyway? has around 9000 lf and oxidizer.Zeus mk 5 SSTO (made without FAR)
qromodynmc
I made this today,Actually I was just trying to make experimental designs,I knew that angled engines would costs me thrust,And rapiers would waste too much fuel. But at the end of the day,I get into the orbit with plenty of fuel. I am Surprised.

Stratzenblitz75
Here's my heavy lifting SSTOs:Javascript is disabled. View full albumThe smallest SSTO, the Deimos-3600, is capable of lifting 20.5 tons to LKO and the largest, the Titan-28800, is capable of lifting 164 tons to LKO.I designed the crafts so that the engines all share intake air equally, and therefore, you don't have to throttle down or shut off engines in pairs to avoid flame outs. You can see here that all the engines are still running, despite the thin atmosphereThe cost per ton delivered to LKO for each of the SSTOs is about 22 funds per ton.If any of you are interested, check out my main thread for more info/pics. Rune
Well, the new B9 update is awesome. You see, I just wanted to see how the new XL stuff worked, and then I went to check T/W and delta-v because engineer wouldn't work on the SPH. At first, everything went just as I expected, but as I burned fuel to check the flow with the new parts... well, I'm posting it here, so you can guess how it ended:When it first started lifting off (on its own, up to that point I didn't even know it could get T/W over 1), I started looking at the KER numbers for T/W and delta-v with a moderately puzzled look on the face. Then after I went over 5000m and 100m/s I started considering a gravity turn and raising an eyebrow at the gimbal range and gorgeous FX. Then by 20kms I started switching modes on those square monster engines and... well, apparently I cut things close, but it made orbit with a few hundred m/s to spare. And then my jaw hit the floor. Consider, the three middle sections are hollow hangars, and it carries weapons, ammo, and quite the huge amount of crew space (24 passengers + 6 crew in cockpits with IVA and rasterprop controls). And it was supposed to be a fuel flow test before building a booster for my very first thing with the new update! BTW, the MkII version with a few minor fixes and details and SRB boosters to save some fuel for on-orbit maneuvers to get to a (better be huge) fuel depot? Turned out a whooping 112 parts. What. The. Boop.Rune. Then again, I'm not going to be the one that says any of that is a bad thing. Edited August 31, 2014 by Rune
