I have seen several posts/wars, generally with people complaining that development feels very slow but also saying the game is great.

Clearly nobody wants the game to disappear, I think it is brilliant. I would be annoyed if it stopped suddenly but I still think the game is great, even in it's partially completed state.

Would you be happy with the game?

Ultimately, yes. Though, I would like the updated ASAS.

Seriously, though - this is one of the best games I've ever played. I've certainly gotten $23 of value out of it, and ten times more, which can only be said for some of the truly great console games - Morrowind, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. I enjoy the game immensely, but its even better knowing there are new things just around the corner.

I love this game as it stands and have no qualms about the way development is progressing, but it needs a lot of work yet. So no, I would not be pleased if KSP were to be abandoned at this stage. It's great now, but has a lot of promise to be even better. Have I gotten my money's worth? Absolutely, and then some. I really want to see Squad succeed, though.

The ability to create mods and the fairly strong API (what I've seen of it) means that the game could potentially live on for a very long time as-is. ****, we've even got a career mode of sorts, if SQUAD stopped developing everyone would probably jump on that bandwagon..

I've very much enjoyed the game so far, but after having put 200 hours into it, I've almost everything there is to do as it stands. Without any further updates, I would put the game down and probably play it only sparingly from this point on.

As it stands, KSP is nowhere near completed nor is it stable and developed enough to properly support career mode. I would want the sandbox part of the game finished to its fullest extent before practically any work on career would be started, though I'm fine with laying down groundwork for it when it will eventually (and I mean really EVENTUALLY) implemented. I don't think that I can keep playing KSP without updates before Sandbox is completed at least :(

I wouldnt be happy at all, I would consider Squad to be a dishonest developer and not trust a single title they developed ever again.

The game, while fun and enjoyable, is not complete and requires several more passes to make it a complete title... its the fact it is still in development that lets you ignore / work around the issues the game still has and also mods at this stage tend to fill in the gaps but it isnt enough.

Mods are not to be trusted to fill in the missing parts of a game or to complete a game, its nice to have but the mod authors are under no obligation to support or continue their work and may just walk off on a whim, and if that mod is a really useful component of the game... players are in a pickle.

But as this is hypothetical, I trust Squad will complete the game so I am happy with my purchase, on the condition the issues will be sorted out (those that are in Squads hands).

Let Squid take the time to develop this game and get it right rather then rush out a product like EA did with Sim City, (Censored) everybody off with an overpriced buggy game that made you a slave to their server along with no modding allowed, and was nowhere near as good as the previous version.

I've certainly gotten my money's worth, but since we've seen glimpses of what's the come I don't think I'd be happy with the game. I'd be far too preoccupied with: "but what if they added this... and this..."

I would be very sad and frustrated, but my $15 has kept me entertained for over a year, so I would not feel ripped off. (By the way, I'm assuming that Squad stopped because they got hit by a meteor, or something, and not just that they got bored. :D )

The way this question is asked, I am surprised people would be happy and perfectly fine with this if it happened. No offence to them. I feel no matter what you should always hold yourself to your words. If Squad didn't, that is a sign of disrespect to you as a customer. Even if are satisfied with what ever portion of the game you have, shouldn't really matter since that isn't what you where promised or what you purchased.

That would be like going to buy some fries that comes with ketchup, then later finding out you purchased them but they are out of ketchup and they only told you after. lol poor analogy but still. It's simply not right. I also most certainly would not play the game anymore because that would be submitting. That would be like saying it was ok that they did what they did.

No chance.

No mining, no hydraulics/robot parts, too few planets without a whole lot of stuff going on on them or things to do, no further solar systems, no off-planet bases, and uninteresting aerodynamics/spaceplanes.

So, no sell. I bought KSP partly as a result of hoping that these things would be implemented.
