How far are you in career?

I have a question.

How far is each KSP player in career mode?

I'm pretty far, have finished most of the technology tree, and have sent manned missions to Eve and Duna, and have established a large base on Duna and launched a spacestation to Ike/Duna while constructing a GIGANTIC one in LKO (Eaten up by space kraken.), while completely ignoring other destinations such as the Mun (I'll admit it. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE braking with rockets, prefering parachute spam instead.). I've suffered one setback, and that was the NERVA engine blowing up during launch.

At 500M.

So, I'm jusst wondering.

How far are my fellow Adminstrators in KSP?

Just started on the final line. I got 2600 science after the first Eve probe landed. I spammed transmissions from six biomes with it (high sun, high eve, near eve, high eve atmo, low eve atmo, eve surface), and got awards for firsts.

And now I have mainsails and jumbo tanks, the solar system's my oyster. At least, as soon as I figure out how to get kerbals back off other planets.

I have 4 level 7 items left to get, and 4 level 8. I am more than 10 Kerbin years in though and am thinking of restarting once I finish career the first time and trying for speed (in Kerbin time). I am not so interested in doing it in the least amount of missions, but the least amount of Kerbin time, then continuing on until I have visited every planet's SOI and returned with at least one Kerbal from each, and having put at least a probe on (or 'in' for Jool and Kerbal) every celestial body. I am also thinking of trying to complete that goal using hyperbolic trajectories rather than Hohmann orbits in some cases.

I'm intentionally reveling in each node. I've got almost 2000 science units available and just chose to unlock solar panels instead of fuel lines.

I've also not yet left Kerbin's SOI, but have probes landed on Mun and when I unlock a Kethane Scanner (Next mission!) will be sending it up to scan Mun and Minmus. While that's happening, a transfer window should open up and I'll send a probe to one of those.

I feel 0 need to max out the tree in as short a time as possible. I'm trying to get the biggest bang for each node's buck first.

Doing all the planets after getting bored of farming Mun, done Moho and is warping up Duna now.

As I twist I decided to also visit all the poles at least with probes. I found that Moho south pole is flat. Duna north and south poles has high mountain chains who on probe hit straight on.

Unmapped the entire tree after Duna, including 4000 extra points for mod parts.

I'm done with the stock tree and with the Interstellar one, now I'm back in sandbox with the Mission Controller Extended.

It was fun in the beginning but got disappointed in the end, too easy for me I guess and too repetitive.

I pretty much broke Career mode wide open by unlocking the whole tech tree in 3 launches without ever leaving the Kerbin system. So basically it's just sandbox mode for me now, unless I want to go back and see if I can unlock the whole tech tree in 2 launches instead.

I unlocked the whole tree after a couple return missions at first, then cruelly sending no return science missions and spamming experiments. Took me about 6 or 7 launches total. Now its back to sandbox, time to see if i can bring some of those poor kerbs back home.

Duna probed with temp and goo scans, Eve probed with temp, goo and materials scan

Minmus scanned with sample, goo, materials, eva report, temp and return.

Mun scanned with sample (from multiple areas), goo, materials, eva report and return.

Nothing very relevant I've done on Kerbin though, they don't give much science point there, or so it seems.

On the tech tree I have the last row minus mainsail plus 3 nodes of the second to last row to bag. Just landed on Duna with a seriously tricked out lander with a second lander and a whole bunch of probes following right behind it, so when I get back I should be wallowing in science points.

There's still some points to be milked from the Mun, I've been in every Biome there but not with all the instruments so I can send more probes to mop up the rest of the points, same with Minmus and Kerbin, though the points haul from Duna should massively outweigh all that. If there's anything left to unlock then the next mission to Eve will fill it in.

On my 2nd full-unlock of career mode. On my first one, I relied mainly on transmission for most of my science (except for the Mun and Minmum). This 2nd time I am nearly done and I have done 100% return missions ... it's been a long, labor of love :)
