Is the reflection on the helmets real or faked a texture displayed depending on orientation of the object?

If it is the latter, it opens up the way to a very nasty halloween prank ... harharhar! :D

I could be wrong here but I'm fairly sure it's faked since there is a texture for it in Texture Replacer, or at least for the one I'm using. But hey, most everything is faked in video games right? I wonder if that means you could apply a faded Kraken to the texture to make it look like he broke into the spacesuit? hmmmmm..... I now wish I had any artistic ability at all

That was what I was think - at least along these lines - but more a demonic face suddenly appearing overshadowing the Kerbal inside. :sticktongue:

Another ocean update (slight vertex deformation for waves. You really have to be in the water or on the coastline to notice.

Next up is more ocean animation and proper detailing.

Gave this a shot today, and the changes seem to work perfectly on my Mac. Nice job. Really love the new daytime cities.

The one weird thing is this exception message:


[Exception]: UnityException: Texture 'BoulderCo/Atmosphere/Textures/kerbin1' is not readable, the texture memory can not be accessed from scripts. You can make the texture readable in the Texture Import Settings.

Doesn't seem to have an effect on the actual cloud layer though, as it still loads and displays while in flight (and flight only). Might be worth noting that I'm using a 1.2 scaled version of your texture, but otherwise nothing peculiar was done to the format of the image file. The file permissions are set correctly, and the file is clearly readable, so... chalk it up to a weird Unity thing?

I want to increase the distance at which clouds are rendered "3D", but im not sure how. I assume its something in the cloudLayers.cfg, but there is so much stuff...

Is there a way to hide the "old 2D" cloudlayer while im below a certain altitude?

rbray, will it ever be possible to get shadows from lunar eclipses on the ship and/or kerbin?

Unfortunately I think that's an engine limitation that requires Squad to fix. Mainly that objects (including planets and moons) don't cast shadows beyond a certain distance.

I have a problem with my version of visual enhancements...

When I load my game it crashes for some unknown reason. I know that its mainly due to VE and KWr and works fine without.

Is there a fix to this, if so reply because I love flying into the clouds in planes.

Seriously, You're amazing. If a KSP Modder wiki was made, the first thing it would say is - "Limitations? What are those?"

You're amazing at not only modding, but being an all around great guy. Your work is truly amazing.

Anyway, hows development of the new version coming along? Anything new to show, any progress?
