[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack

Recommended Posts

For those who are interested, here's a link to the Strongbacks I made: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v1aqe9p0jd00nmp/AADYD8QEEgH-6-x8hBLsidHEa?dl=0

There are 2 strongbacks included. LC-39A (Strongback for the Falcon Heavy) and LC-40 (Falcon 9). They both attach via an attachment node at the bottom. Haven't tested them with Kart's Falcons, but they should work just fine if you add an attachment node at the bottom.

The strongback seems to be working fine as of right now. The base appears to be a little cramped with the F9's first stage clipping through the clamps holding it down. The retracting arm also clips through some of the F9 first stage tanks.

Also, I think the strongback might have to be a little taller (I've only tested the first stage with this however)

Yeah, mine is the wrong size for some reason... My strongback is 0.65 scale, kart's falcon is 1.0 scale.. but when I rescale to fix that, my strongback is too tall.

Should be an easy fix... rescale in Blender, re-do animations.... ugh... maybe not so easy...

Oh, and landings! :P

Edit: Whops. Please make sure to download this plugin here, it is required for the fairings. Otherwise you will run into danger of maybe flipping the rocket http://www./download/e5p779ng23c7qt1/AeroHider.dll

Hi Kart , I got a problem here .

When I trying to land the frist stage of F91.1 , its center M1D+ engine will “aerodymanic failure” when I have FAR installed, is this normal or should I reset FAR’s settings?

All the SpaceX rockets keep flipping over at some point. I need to add Verniers to keep the first stage stable, but the second stage always just tumbles out of control upon separation. None of my other rockets have this problem (same payloads). I also notice the fairings don't protect my RemoteTech antennas, as if there is nothing there, might also explain the tumbling rockets.

Any suggestions?

You need to download this plugin I unfortunately forgot to include it, it *fixes* the aerodynamic behaviour of the fairings, and you also need the Old School Fairings plugin, as it says in the OP.

Thanks guys!!!!

Those rockets look awesome by the way!

Great that everything seems to work now! :)

Thank you, it was quite a bit of effort (I started on this 1 month and 5 days ago :D ). :P

Delta IV next (with next I mean that I will start working on it now, though I guess it will take quite a bit of time to finish. But this time it will be released, not like the last time I worked on it). Will be working on Atlas V at the same time too.

But first, I will take a little break from modelling stuff, and pick it up again in the new year. ;) Creating the Falcon's was pretty intense.
