The Official Kerbin Cup Tournament Thread - Final Entries Posted

Okay then.

I volunteer! I'd like to believe I'm a pretty good well rounded player. I play stock (90% of the time), my favorite craft to build are space-plane ssto's, sstmo's, and Apollo recreations. And I will say the control tower operators have developed a nonchalant attitude about my habit of landing things on the tower :] .

My weaknesses are forgetting to quicksave, forgetting power supply systems, forgetting the pilot, forgetting 2+2=4, antagonizing the kraken, melting my computer by making ships with too many parts, and moar boosters (upsidedown).

For special skills I'd say I'm pretty good at making out of the box creations, such as a working stock submarine, and launchers for payloads anywhere from 0.1 to 1000 tons.

Without asking what the specific challenges are, I have a general question about the nature of the competition.

Will mods (other than the challenge mod itself) be required/allowed for any of the challenges?

Not required, but definitely allowed.

I'd love to help out on any team that'll have me?

I've been playing the game for a little over a year and pretty well rounded. I love playing with lots of mods on 'hard mode' so to speak. I'm always up for a good challenge.

We're enlisting as a Forum team, but I would also ask for the addition of the IRC community as its own team. We're a small community, but I think we also deserve a place of recognition

So, how exactly are teams chosen. I understand that there will be 4 team leaders, but how are they chosen? And if team leaders chose people will they send them a PM letting them know?

We're trusting that the community itself will be able to decide which two teams it wishes to represent them in the Kerbin Cup without any outside interference from SQUAD or the forum leadership. We'll be on hand to make judgments on any deadlocks or disputes that arise, but aside from that, the selection process itself is entirely in the hands of the community.

Who will ride forth with me in a blaze of glory and exploding boosters?

I volunteer my aircraft and small-medium rocket building and piloting skills, as well as FAR aircraft expertise, to join your cause.

Also, are there any prerequisites for being able to join a team?

Wait, so its *ONE* team of four from the forum and *ONE* team of four from reddit?

And you expect us to somehow reach a consensus and select 4 people out of hundreds with no guidance?

...really?

It might be the first 4 teams to sign up.

4 teams of 4 on each side. It's a whopping 32 people total.

How hard could it be? Declare some teams, set up a moderated voting thread, call it good.

According to the forum stats there are 6,326 active members. 16 people is .2% of the active forum community. I can't call it good, sorry. It's way too exclusionary for me to call it good.
