I think I might have figured out why the RetroFuture parts were failing. I had a munged Firespitter plugin install. I had the updated dll file but neglected to include the resources folder from the parts package. Electrical engines require the FSCoolant resource, and if it's not installed the load will hang.

I had a similar problem with another set of parts, and that correcting that oversight fixed it, so I'll check if these are likewise affected.

Edit: Confirmed! I haven't tried to use the parts yet, but it was the missing Firespitter resource that was causing the hang on loading.

That was the same with the KAX pack. Hooray for easy fixes. ;)

I'm Back still adjusting jet lag and processing photos from the trip. will ease back into KSP as time allows. haven't touched 0.9 yet. I expect RF to work for the most part, as long as plugins are updated.

Firespitter DLL is updated to 0.9 I think, @ snjo.github.io; FSCoolant resource is only necessary if you use electric engines from FS or KAX, make sure the resource is properly defined for KSP in GameData/Firespitter/Resources/

TRReflections MM patch is the lowest hanging fruit and I'll probably do that first.

larger airbreathing engines seems to be a niche that needs to be filled with the new MKIII space plane parts.

Everything seems to be working well for me in .90 at least. I have two small requests, one: A very basic wheel for fixed landing gear made with struts and stuff, ideally easily stacked for heavier planes and tweakscale-able.

The other idea: A big square ww1-ish engine, something off a S.E.5 or a Bristol F.2. I think it would work well with the square fuselage system you've made so far.

Edit: The pulse jet is glitched, seems odd it would be, maybe a mod conflict...

Speaking of biplane parts, and why they should be in this pack, here's a jet powered biplane!

If you're using ATM, that's normal.. ATM crashes a lot with this mod while it tries to do the initial texture conversion. It took me 8 crashes/restarts for ATM to convert all textures, but once you passed this initial nuisance, KSP will load fine and RetroFuture will work well

ATM didn't crash at all with this mod, but it got an odd over shininess of the textures.

I started to get around it, by removing all other mods other then it, and the default ones, as well as ATM, so that way ATM could do the work, without the issues of loading the other mods....But if it crashes once I add the other mods back, then I will know it's a conflict somehow

It worked! .....And I found out the hard way in sandbox the Rectangular fuel tanks...have no fuel in them, they are structural only o_O;;

Under v0.90 I've found the RF control surfaces with built-in airbrakes tend to flip around spontaneously in flight. It doesn't seem to affect handling but it sure looks weird.

yeah that's normal. I find it kind of annoying, might end up ditching it eventually.
