  1. Okay, so the ends that I have used, even though the models are in ReStock, the actual part s are ReStockPlus, so they don't have an equivalent in stock. This means I am going to keep the ReStock/ ReStockPlus Which is a shame as I have spent a reasonable amount of time working with the Stayputnik! However, I have tidied up the cfg files somewhat. The side attachments are all standardised There is now entry costs and costs for all parts Science unlocks are now General Construction for the Station Trusses and Advanced Construction for the Med-Trusses MetalParts and CustomPart trusses (in Med-Truss only) will only appear with SimplexResources Still exploring a Large Station Truss.
  2. Seems a great solution to expect rigid rockets with side booster being flexi. My KSP1 games have never used actual struts since autostrut was added. Also, getting rid of the need for multiple docking connections to create stability is awesome too! Thanks for the update... no worries about a couple of days delay. The weekend for playthrough works better anyways.
  3. Interesting and understandable! Asking a question, IIRC, FAR in KSP1 does similar but for the whole craft at a time, so it is the forward facing whole face of the craft in direction of travel. Is there a reason this approach wasn't used for KSP2?
  4. Why did I think this was 15th June? Oh.. that may have been Strange New Worlds. My bad. Tuesday is a good day as any, but it means my Wednesday night is going to be a long one trying out all the things. Science is not this update though right?
  5. yea, I'm not playing through steam and so my numbers aren't being picked up for KSP1 or KSP2. And I'm playing for at lease 15mins to 60mins a day (it is never enough). I have to say though that KSP2 isn't much, once a week maybe. I am waiting on science - and modding tools.
  6. I did have some time this morning to work on this more. (Still no screenshots I know). Looking seriously at getting rid of the ReStock dependency (why as it looks so much better) i did the following: The Ore Truss uses the Restock 1.875 ore tanks. I've changed that to be the regular 1.25 tanks stretched to fit. The LFO Trusses use the ReStock round tank ends. These make nice spheres, but tanks tend to have flattened round ends for the pressure tanks, not spherical ones it seems. So in looking for a solution, Ive been trying out using the Stayputnik model and squishing it. The colour matching isnt great, but the benefit is that has a good round end when RestockPlus isnt installed.
  7. I'll hopefully get some time to screenshot in the next few days. There is also an issue which i thought i had fixed with the Ore Truss. I'm going to add a MetalPart and CustomPart truss for Simplex Resources, or RocketPart with CRP. Also updating all my Tech Trees, and assigning better stock tree nodes. It may be possible to arrange a non ReStock verison as well. But I'm not sure about this yet.

  9. SIMPLEX Station Parts A set of stock based station trusses Download from Spacedock Requires: Module Manager (not included). ReStock, ReStockPlus. (not included). License is CC-BY-NC-SA These Trusses are built using stock models (with a ReStockPlus model as well). Designed to be a a simple stockish alternative the NearFutureConstruction mod. In 1.4 Inline parachutes, the smaller hubs and smaller extensions can now be stored in a cargo container. The Medium Trusses are a good size for placing the large static solar panels on the side Parts include: Inline 0.625m and 1.25mm parachute An empty truss hub (6 nodes) 4 way, 3 way, angled 2 way crew passable hubs (6 nodes) Station Trusses at the same length as the 1.25 long LFO tank - Empty - Crew passable - LFO - Supplies Medium Station Trusses at the same length as the 1.875 long and medium LFO tanks together - Empty - Crew passable - LFO - Ore - Supplies Large Station Hub with 6x 2.5m nodes With SIMPLEX Resources: - Ore Truss is replaced by Trusses for the SimplexOres - MetalParts and CustomParts appear Supplies include Monopropellant and EC. With Kerbalism Simplex these also include Air and BadAir.
  10. Yup. It was a balance thing based on as I never really played with them. But with the QUARTIX tree then I placed them before the 2.5 and now I have had a playthrough of that tree with the ReStock equivalents, I am sold on moving them back to a more appropriate level. Check for an update in the next few days
  11. I'm quite interested in this concept - particularly this feature! Sounds awesome. Stockish as much as possible is great. It would work well with the Sandcastle mod as well. MKS or the Davon Supply Mod might do something similar to the the automated routes etc. But a stock-a-like solution (particularly for MKS) would be nice to try!
  12. I'm now thinking of adding BadAir creation to Monopropellant production from Ore. You can dump the Monopropellant though and just collect the BadAir. Update Incoming 3.13 So with Stock resources: You mine Ore Use miniISRU, ISRU, to change Ore to Monopropellant and BadAir Profit. But this already exists: If you use Simplex Resources, this won't be the same. BadAir is produced as a byproduct of Oxidizer Baking from Natural Ore. So with Simplex Resources: You mine NaturalOre Use miniISRU, ISRU, heavy ISRU NaturalOre to Oxidizer and BadAir. Profit. Meaning you can replenish your Ox, and get ready to greenhouse some Consumables!
  13. Use the stock Atmospheric Fluid Spectro-Variometer on planets with an atmopshere - Kerbin, Duna, Laythe and Eve. The atmosphere science part will also extract air. I couldn't remember if I had included this or not. This works even without Simplex Resources as Kerbalism Simplex adds in the Air and BadAir to these stock atmospheres.
  14. I need to check i can extract BadAir from the atmosphere with mod parts other than Simplex. Hopefully in the morning!
  15. You should be able to use two of the vanilla greenhouse with Kerbalsim per kerbal. Im not sure about making BadAir. I seem to remeber BadAir came from making MetalParts woth Simplex Resources. I'll take a look tonight and try it out.
  16. No idea if this is currently being maintained atvthe moment... But I'm using with Kerbalism Simplex and Simplex Resources to extract the Natural Ore and RareOre using these against stock drills which collect only HydrateOre and Saturate. Kerbalism Simplex allows for the surface sample drill to work properly. But the reason I've posted this here is that in using this mod, i have also reduced the size and mass of the smaller Auger/drill using Kerbalism Simplex.

  19. The originator of the patch had .7 for everything. But i wanted to keep the vacuum isp close to stock and just affect ASL launches. .6 would be good. But you are right, the third one creates a curve by specificing the isp curve across three points. My suggestion would be to halve the third data point to whatever the second one is.

  22. Small updated coming as I move some of the bahaEPL parts. I've also been working on a small set of truss with tank parts using the UbioWelder i want to add these in as an alternate to how I use Near Future Construction. These will be in a different Simplex mod, but I'm not sure which one yet.
  23. Got the baha science drill to drill for surfacesamples only available previously by EVA. Im going to make this drill much later in my TechTrees. For some reason it takes 44 days rather than 50 seconds... and it is a one shot thing like goo but it weighs 1.1 tons. Just need to check the 3d printer against other mods for EL compatability and I'll release.
  24. It has taken some time to have the time to resolve this. I've added back the functionality and removed the Heat component. I have also added in bahaEPL drills and such. Also, I am trying to get the surfaceSample drill from this mod to work nicely with the kerbalism science system but it has been a while since scatching my head on the cfg setup for science. Should be doable though. Expect an update in the next couple of days. Also Quatrix TechTrees will need an update. Thanks for bringing up this issue!
