Another minor point when getting "splashed down at Kerbin" contracts, you don't actually have to take off. If you have a reasonable rover you can simply drive into the water. This helps keep costs down. Although the sight of a tiny rover with a couple of engines strapped to it...... Likewise "landed at Kerbin" doesn't need am actual landing, merely for the craft to be landed.

Not a CKAN user but I would expect as long as you don't point it at the second install you should be fine. And mods can be deleted at will, just be aware that if you have any craft using those mods they will get broken.

I don't know if this actually removes the part but check if you have "disable stock scanning" on for SCANsat.

I made my Vespa faster by the simple expedient of removing big lumps of the chassis (it's monocoque) all the redundant wiring and fitting a lightweight saddle and bicycle mudguard (held on with electrical tape). Oh and a Harley petrol tank. Imagine 80mph on this...........
