  1. You could simulate mixing gasses while considering them as resources by having multiple resources be able to go into the tanks like the liquidfuel/oxidizer tanks. The player could set how much of the max gas capacity would be hydrogen or helium or something and have that be switchable on the go.
  2. Now someone needs to make a mod that puts you in the shoes of an engineer working at the VAB/SPH!
  3. USI Life Support adds a bunch of different roles with different functions.
  4. What if science in KSP2 wasn't a per biome thing but rather a depletable resource? Basically, when you take science from a certain area, it creates a circular gradiant of less science around it.
  5. I finally got around to playing in Career mode, with USI life support (not colonization) and having to purchase parts to unlock them. The thing is, I have enough money that I can ignore it when building crafts, but not enough so the building upgrades are a concern. I could decrease the cash multiplier but that would make the building upgrades too much of a grind. Overall, I feel money needs rebalancing. So here is my suggestion: Make the cost of building ships (and unlocking parts in my case) be more similar to building upgrades, so either raise the part costs or lower the building costs Or, add in more cash drains, like say, a monthly upkeep, or having to hire more mission teams to fly more missions at the same time.
  6. SOLVED!!!! I changed the hardware id of the speakers in Device Manager. For anyone reading this in the future, (or future me), go to Device Managers, Sound, Audio, and Game controllers, click on the speakers that you are using, go to properties, then details. Than click on the "properties" drop down and go to "Hardware IDs". I clicked on the id that was not selected and the problem was solved! It tends to be a good idea to try different things to narrow down the source of the issue (i.e. is it a KSP problem? a Unity problem? a driver/OS issue?)
  7. Just went back and reinstalled the OS. STILL no sound. ARGHHHHHH UPDATE: I forgot to mention, I tried installing from the Realtek website with no luck. I did try running it from a Ubuntu VM, this time with more luck (but its literally unplayable due to long load times and high seconds per frame.)
  8. The VS Studio installation was borked, not the drivers. I got the driver from the ASUS website (which gave me the normal realtek driver. I will try the safe mode later.
  9. UPDATE: I did the thing that the Unity error message told me. It did not work. Well, the installation process got borked in the middle of it. The soundcard do have 16 bit audio support - 24 bit audio in fact. Tried that, sound didn't come on. I suspect I might have to reinstall the OS...
  10. The problem appeared yesterday. UPDATE: I have attempted restarting the Audiosrv servicec via task manager and reinstalling the audio drivers. I also have found a Unity install on my computer which was installed while trying to install Visual Studio game dev package. It may have something to do with it. UPDATE 2#: Ran Unity editor and got this error: FMOD failed to initialize. This may be because your sound card is configured to give applications exclusive access, thus preventing Unity from using this device. You can change this in Control Panel > Audio Devices and Sound Themes > Playback Device > Properties > Options ... : "Soundcard does not support the minimum features needed for this soundsystem (16bit stereo output). " (59)
  11. I looked it up and it appears that Unity itself uses FMOD. 1)Sound card: I don't know but I am using the laptop mentioned in the OP. 2)No. The laptop is only a month old so it should have the latest drivers.
  12. Kerbal Space Program has no sound. I mean just that. I have tried: Launching from the exe directly instead of from Steam Restarting the computer Deleting all mods Playing on a different folder/EXE (different version, 32 bit instead of 64 bit) Reinstalling the game (to clear the files in %appdata%) Running "Troubleshoot Sound Problems" Other applications produce sound fine, so I suspect it is a system issue, not a KSP issue. Output.log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xb37bkzjuvt7aym/output_log.txt?dl=0 System Specs: Model: ASUS ROG Strix GL703GE OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz (12) RAM: 16271 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4031MB)
  13. From what I gathered from the expansion vids (don't have it myself), the mission builder made scenarios but with a different name?
  14. I mean, there was a mod that let you choose what nation or organization your space program were under when you make a new save, with each nation having its own benefits and drawbacks. Not sure if it is up to date or supported anymore.
  15. To be fair you can just raise/lower your orbit by 10 km and wait long enough. EDIT: ohhh inclination.... I mean its apparent that they were going by *in Soviet Russia, physics follow OUR laws*
  16. try using Daedalus Consortium Parts. The parts are literally 100 meters long. but where am i going to find people to fill the ship? Try sending civilians into space! (Civilian Population)
  17. Welcome to the fourms! Considering this thread is quite old and younseeks tonbe having a different issue, its probably a goodnl idea to post to the relevant mod release threads or start a new one.
  18. I mean sharing in the same save, so players can see a mission that another person is doing in real time, or transfer ownership of satellites between players
  19. There are mods that add other solar systems. No need to do some fancy skybox trick
  20. If you are concerned about your data being collected by KSP, well, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc already got your data. And if you are concerned about *that*, this is not the place to talk about that. Soyuz nerushimy respublic....
  21. Well, I forgot to mention something. You know that swimming pool in the administration center? I wonder what would happen if we made it bigger like a lake.
