It's 2018, so I'll have to start with a disclaimer:

 

I truly believe men and women are equal, even on alien worlds.

 

So I'm in career mode and I want to hire a new pilot that is male.

The  reason why I want a male pilot is because I am a male and I prefer a male character.

There is nothing wrong with that.

It annoys me that I don't even have a choice, women are the dominating species on Kerbin apparently...<_<

This is not equality, I have no choice.

Please stop this invasion of feminism, I bet only 5% of the people who play KSP are female.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

I can think of 2 easy ways to fix this:

  1. Alt-F12
  2. "Create A Kerbal"
  3. (I don't actually know the rest of the steps offhand but they should be obvious)

Or do it the way I used to change people's names back before the devs loved us and gave us the option in alt-f12:

  1. Hire a female pilot. Or an engineer or a scientist.
  2. Exit to the main menu.
  3. Edit your save to change their gender and anything else you want.
  4. Load the save back up.

This is not a feminist agenda. You hired all the dudes and the ladies are all that's left. The same could easily happen with careers and you wouldn't think Squad is pushing some Engineerist agenda down your throat.

There was a time when I thought this was true. Out of 30 rescues 28 were engineers in a 1.3.1 career. I started sending all engineer crews out to die on missions. RNG is a fickle mistress in most games. You can complain but, it does you no good.

I don't use any female pilots. Their high-pitched squeal of a voice in chatterer annoys me.
