I built a sub and took my SR-71 out for spin. unfortunately, as I use the ps4 I have no pictures, sorry

My Son made a suggestion to maybe record it on PS4 then share it to YouTube then maybe get your screenshots. A few of us are sharing with IMGUR, its a free image sharing website.

Thanks! I found out the hard way that it's not in fact indestructible. The first few attempts, I tried to charge in a straight line right over the top of every mountain. That didn't work out so well.

I know that feeling. I've made numerous restarts before I made it to the finish line with all the wheels attached. Endurance and patients seems to play a huge part in the Race. Still a bunch of fun tho!

Here's the video for Stage 1. I'll up load the rest as I finish them.

That was awesome man. It's funny that we've taken much of the same route. Also your vehicle handles the Terrain very well. If I ever get around to running this Race again I would consider building a better Suspension System.

I think at this point we have given our opinions and ideas on the direction of how we would like to see this Badge System work. Also I would like to give one more suggestion to Smokey the Bear when making his final decision. Hotel26 will be the one maintaining Kayak Club (Leader Board) so I would lean in his direction from here. I like the idea of a Badge also and whichever way this turns out is fine by me. :)

I'm going to guess that a trip to a single location is too low a bar for a badge. If that's the case, then how about visiting a specific number of them (e.g. 5) warrants receiving one. Alternatively we could have a set of different coloured badges (2 or 3), with the first being awards for a visit to a first location, then the other(s) for a specific number of them visited.

Possibly bronze, silver and gold system, for 1, 5 and 10 visits respectively.

    @Hotel26 @purpleivan

I like the idea of a point system...ie 5 points any way you get it would give you a bronze, 10 points silver and maybe a Gold badge if you get in the top ten of the leader board? These are just some ideas for us to throw around.

I love it! and I for one really appreciate your stirling contribution to the Club!

Let's await the Supreme Judges ruling on this but I for one will wear this badge (in my signature) with pride if/when approved.

    Thank you Smokey Bear!!

To all, I will clean up the mess in the Record of Landmarks and post the latest scores, later today.  Thank you for your patience.

@Hotel26 @purpleivan Let's first decide who gets a Badge and for what accomplishment(s). So ideas first, I'll begin with let's not make it too complicated to get one. Then make a Poll or Vote on the final ideas maybe, what are you two guys thoughts?

Also, should we add color to that badge?

    Ignition!

Each M-17 engine could be started or stopped independently. KAL-1000 simulates pneumatic starter - spins it slow, adds throttle for a while and then sets it to idle at 110 rpm. A small servo on the shaft creates wobble and anti-torque. Take-off RPM is 375, increasing to 395 as speed rises and could increase up to 418 on high altitude. Plane can fly on any 2 engines running

It's like you can hear it without the sound!

I assume I'm going to have to find Ross bay?

You can find any of the locations on the OP (First Page). There's a leader board on that page showing your rank for the accumulated points. This will show you all the places that players have been.

    Update: 03.04.2020

When arriving with a bay section I was surprised to see damage, I thought that last game save was without any damages.

    I installed the Section here

As much work (fun :D) as it can be to make additional trips to the Space Dock I still decided to remove the damages and return with new sections.

In the pass I was having trouble launching with anything more then a section at a time. Knowing how much time it takes to make these trips (Hours) I decided to Engineer something so I could make this all in one rendezvous. After a few test launches, tweaks and careful maneuvers, I was able to achieve orbit with minimal damages to the launcher when staging. (I wasn't planning to reuse it anyways :D  unlike Space-X I have plenty funds to waste here ;))

I noticed there was something missing when I arrived ....aaah!!

The Game Plan here will be to Dock at this location and Dock this sideways to the Space Dock (Ok that's some wishful thinking, we'll see how that goes)

Here is a (ugly) video of another failed attempt at stage 4, the last part is really difficult ! You can see how the rover's suspension procede through high speed bumps, until I broke some parts, then some others, made some very (unexpected) acrobatics and broke everything at the end :D

Many of my attempts looked much like this one. The last part being really difficult is why I encourage a player to find a good path and stick with it until you learn where to slow down.

This was my first time doing this race and it was very fun even though I didn't get really good timing. :/
