  1. Looks like I'm stealing glory here, I am not one to do something like that, I am thanking everyone for the little boards I stuck together... I think it's pretty clear who's mastery we are looking at here!
  2. Come to think of it, this one is all electric so yes I guess they would!...... haha
  3. The Cantilever Bridge Project Update: CANCELED After weeks of hard and long hours of work, I have decided to cancel further process on my Cantilever Bridge Project, this is a hard hit ......the Physics Easing is not so Easing on my Bridge. Either I will redesign the Piers and try it again at a later date or wait and try again if the Physics Easing improves. Not sure at this point but I do know that this will not stop my Bridge Construction I love this stuff! I had two Bridge Projects I've been working on and ideas for three more . Anyway it is a sad day in the neighborhood . I will continue with the Camelback Bridge and post an update sometime. The Heartbreak
  4. Thank you MJ! Thank you Servo! I do have Video footage of the thing actually gaining ground........(gaining water?)..LOL
  5. Viking Ship The Viking Ship started when Klond and I began to collaborate on a bridge project I was working on. During this time he showed me a project he was working on, it was a rowing motor (Row Machine) and it was looking like the Oars rowing on a Viking Ship so I threw the idea at him and we decided to follow through with it. The Motor is remarkable I thought and it looked like a lot of work so instead of Klond separating the Oars for a Large Hull design I had built I decided to build the Hull around the Motor. I apologize for the short Video but there really weren't much ideas I could think of, due to the Kerbals not having any Swords and Shields . This is our first Joint Project and on behalf of Klond also we hope you like the outcome of our Viking Ship. Also if you could please give Klond his Rep on his comment to this post, thank you! Operations: Takeoff at full throttle, full warp will get you to the coastline quickly. You can leave the engines at full when braking so when you enter the water the craft can already have full thrust to leave the beach quickly. Enter the water at or under 20 m/s so the Rowing System will not be damaged. Kill Engines, Load Kerbals, Release Modules, Select Ship, Full Throttle to get away from the Modules, Release Engines, Select Ship again, when doing this look at your resources and watch for your Electrical Only 5.00 this will be the Rowing System, Press and hold your E key and you are on your way at neck breaking speeds of 0.5+m/s on a windy day! Craft File: Viking Ship Parts: 656 Mass: 34.005t Height: 11.0m Width: 13.3m Length: 15.7m Action Groups 1- Juno Engines 2- Lights 3- Ladders 4- Flag
  6. Well I gave it my best shot this morning, came close but no Cigar! I to like the looks of this Craft and I know that often its something we don't like to see change when a craft is tweaked so I tried not to lose the Vector Engine but these are very heavy. I first noticed the rear fuel tank was locked, not sure why but I unlocked it. Then I tried to reduce the power and lock the gimbal on the Vector Engine but the weight was still a lot of the control problem. So I added some control and a Rapier Engine, this gave better control and better MPG. Maybe with better SSTO skills this craft might pull an Orbit but I gave up......but it's closer. Operation Full Throttle at takeoff then back down to half throttle near 70 m/s, nose up at the end of the runway, raise landing gear and lock on to about 15 degrees, she is stubborn and won't do this until you near about 400 m/s. I've set action groups, use 1 to toggle the Whiplash Engines, 2 to toggle the Rapier and 3 for it's mode. Do not let Jeb mess with the controls until you reach 17,000m Jeb has itchy fingers and no patience sometimes. @ 17,000m ignite the Rapier, switch mode give full throttle while killing the Whiplash Engines, this step could be key at making an Orbit, I might be doing this too soon, further testing is needed. At this time start reducing your angle to 10 degrees at this point its your pilot skills to try and complete Orbit. Sorry couldn't pull Orbit for you! Craft File Tweaked: Speed 3ka I'll give it a try!
  7. That's a nice little setup! and this is probably the best answer or something similar, I haven't really went over bumps and if I go on the turf I usually go off the rear of the Runway slowly.
  8. Thought you might be able to shed some light on this subject?

  9. The Cantilever Bridge Project Update: 03.08.17 Even in the real world Bridge building has challenges that arise during it's construction and this remains true in KSP, I now have four additional craft that evolved from this project, some very useful some not, these craft will be released possibly before the Bridge is complete. My recent progress has brought me to making a decision of this Bridge to not be so elaborate as I was hoping, the complexity, time involved and part count all have become the reason to this decision. I now have the somewhat Center Section in place after some blood, sweat and tears.......ok maybe just the tears . With the struggles going on with the latest work I decided to make some comedy of it on the Video. Hope you like it!
  10. I love Sweet & Salty, I think KSP is much like that as for now, I've lost many hours of work and I keep coming back........I love KSP!! Of course we do want less Salty!
  11. I use to delivery supplies and crew members to these type Rigs in the Gulf Of Mexico for quite a few years, that's what inspired the Crew Boat Rage Runner I built, this Offshore Platform is something I've been planning for a long while but I've been side tracked from it with other projects.
  12. Thanks man! I am one that believes we should give credit where credit is due! Thank you Firemetal!
  13. Safari Jeep Set When traveling down the road one day I saw a Jeep pulling a Utility Trailer and thought it looked really cool, with KSP on the brain once again I got to work on the Trailer. I already had a Jeep built and I didn't want to only add a Trailer Hitch so I decided to upgrade it to this Safari Jeep. I am using Air brakes for the Trailer Door and Kelus-LV Mobility Bay Enhancers for Captain Seats in the Jeep, I think Kerbals should always be riding first class. Top Speeds when pulling the Trailer are not too impressive, the Trailer wants to fishtail, but hey we are looking good at cruising speeds. You may want to tweak it but I'm ok with it as is. I would also like to add another shout out thanks to @Majorjim! and his Tiny Hinge, it makes a great Trailer Hitch! 14. Looks amazing as is, it just needs a pilot to fly it, awesome work man!
  15. The Cantilever Bridge Project I've been working on a Bridge, it's a huge project and it can be followed on The Spacecraft Exchange forum (Gus Turbo WIP Thread). I've been building Bridges not because they are easy but because they are hard and lots of fun. This video is the result of many placements of the Piers, hours of traveling to location, many do overs and many plan changes. I am not sure what the final outcome will be of this project but the plan is to reach the small island at this location. I plan to share all the craft when the project is complete, keep in mind these type craft and projects require a lot of time and patience. I hope you enjoy the video!
  16. Man this is a very nice craft build, and I am still laughing about this! "Mach 6 is my launchpad"
  17. The Cantilever Bridge Project Update: 03.03.17 I've dropped the two Piers at location with one of them being mobile. I've also noticed near the location there is a beautiful underwater view of the Coastline with a steep drop and it made me think if I could visit this area with a Submarine it would be neat, this stirred up an idea of an Exploration Vehicle ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle). I was planning to use the craft for some precision adjustments of the Bridge Piers but after testing I found the ROV was needing forward speed to submerge and this would not be useful to push the Piers at it's center where I was planning. So this creates a reason for more craft building fun! I will be working on a second ROV that will hold a submerged position for better underwater operations. I named the first ROV Watson, now that I need a second this one will be named Sherlock. The Cargo Ship Seahorse is still being improved, I now have steering and precision maneuvering controls less complicated then what I started with. The Bridge Section is near complete, this had it's headaches of it's own, after placing it on the deck in the Hangar nearly half of the struts where releasing, these make up half of the beauty of the Bridge so it was back to work adding struts. The Kraken paid me a visit! during my project. I will press on, this is far too fun and exciting not to complete among a few other projects that I do plan to complete, to name a few, The Camelback Bridge, The Rail Car System, The Man O War (An 8 round Kerbal torpedo Submarine) and the B-25 Mitchell which I don't think I mentioned yet. Seahorse underway with a Bridge Section
  18. Incredible work man, even down to a rifling affect.....wow!!
  19. The Cantilever Bridge Project The Cantilever Bridge Project is an idea of a Bridge design that will be constructed on location. First the plan is to setup Piers for the decking of the Bridge to rest on. I have made success with setting one Pier as shown in the video, the second Pier will need to be mobile, not knowing the exact lengths needed or the possibility of making a perfect drop calls for a way of adjustment. Some of my projects are hopeful ideas so bare with me on it's final outcome. There are so many ways Bridges can be built in KSP and the process I use is not always the most efficient, as I build them I come across other challenging ideas (Example: Small ROV's could be added to the Seahorse). Rather than shortening the process I like to make those ideas happen if possible. I am not sure what the final look of the Bridge will be, I only have the Deck and Piers made at this time and plan to add Truss to the Decking. Needless to say this project could make quite a few twist. On another note, PM me if you think this should have it's own WIP or if my updates here are not a problem as I have been doing in the pass.
