Sector 7 Space Laboratories VTOL Repository

Sector 7 Space Laboratories VTOL Repository Here you will find VTOL Craft I've posted in the past. In the future I will periodically update the Thread. I would also like to thank everyone for downloading any of my builds and hope that you have enjoyed them as much as I have enjoyed building, flying, driving, launching, diving, steering and crashing them with you. Today's Featured Craft VERSATILE Versatile was orginally built as a speed boat from a request, I later found a need for a craft to get to a location quickly to do some bridge adjustments and that's when I thought about using this craft and adding push bars on the bow. Later during another project I found a need for a craft that I could carry a Shark to a location far from the KSC and Versatile seem to be that craft to foot the bill once again. It's ability to carry a small load on it's deck helped to get Klond's cool Sharks to the location needed for filming. Now we know how it got it's name! Please excuse the poor video quality this will be addressed for future videos. I would like to shine a little limelight on this awesome Aircraft! @klond I found your incredible Tiny Coaxial Turbocopter on Kerbalx and had a blast flying it. I made an attempt to reach the Airbase Island and came up short, I decided to try adding more fuel and nearly reached the Island, I then added two additional fuel tanks and was amazed that the craft was still lifting the weight, it was a long journey because Time Warp can not be use nor can you use quick save. The pictures below show the fuel tanks that were added and the landings made. It looks so tough with the added tanks, they look like floats but take my word for it they have almost zero help for flotation. I really can't say enough about how fun the craft is when flying, it's very steady and graceful to fly......Thumbs up! Added Two Fuel Tanks Nearly made it to the Island Looks awesome with the additional Fuel Tanks Successful landing with enough fuel to spare for a possible landing on the Helipad

Wow! Thank you for the compliment and yes staying centered has been difficult, right now it's crawling slowly and I am going to try a double rail setup that might help with better traction. The wheels were barely working and I am working on that as well. I will try a few ideas that may change the appearance. I would like to take this time to mention if anyone would like to try their ideas at making this idea happen please feel free to do so and there will be no hard feelings here, I would enjoy seeing others ideas on something like this. -

Rail Car System I was not planning to reveal this so soon, but someone asked what was I building next.......soooooo here is what I have so far with a Cable Car System that I am calling a Rail Car System because I will be using a Rail until KSP can provide some Cable, Chain or Rope, if that never happens that's not a problem because KSP is awesome as is. Anyway the Master Plan is to have a Boarding Facility and connect these towers together, some with curves and then have the rail drop into an Exiting Facility. This is the high hopes of this project and as we know we don't always get what we want. I will try my best to stay focused on this project for a longtime to see this System in action from boarding on one end then exiting on the other, we'll see how it goes. As always I will give an update on this Thread from time to time until it's complete. At this point I am still not happy with the Running Gear, I've tried many wheels and configurations and none are working too well, this one in the pictures below is one that is working for now. -
For all this work and only three likes with one of them being @Cupcake...! I can live with that!... But I guess I should have made a video.

Jet Pack Five I'm not sure what this five thing is all about but I found another video with five Aircraft and decided to build them. Some have very little visual difference but are handling with a noticeable difference. All are very graceful in flight, I like to immediately head for the Space Plane Hangar with some of these craft because they have just enough power at this time in flight to clear the Hangar giving a really cool view. Also I have provided the webpage links for each craft for the real Aircraft enthusiast. Video I found on YouTube Operations: I recommend using full throttle and SAS at takeoff and holding the brake to allow the engines to gain some thrust for better liftoffs. All are low powered craft so liftoff is very gradual with better control as speed is increased. During landing I am using one third throttle on all the craft for my approach, this is working well. All Action Groups are for lights.
