  1. Go away you memers. EDIT: ^^Link to 2-4 hour stream. I'll try and do a better one Saturday afternoon.
  2. T.T I have them listed as post-Saturn stretch goals. Specifically Japanese and Indian rockets. Also, provided my roommates aren't trying to do something, I might try and stream a bit tonight. Depends on if I wind up working on anything interesting. EDIT: I might take care of it sooner rather than later. At least, touch them up and solve the scaling issues.
  3. Yeah it was kind of a weird request. Though I can understand where it came from Idk, I usually am just fishing for cool ideas that I can use to sneakily delay Saturn more... re: Surveyor, true. But I think you have plenty of time to get around to it. *shrug*
  4. Basically. People started asking for updates less than an hour after the prerelease became available. The actual update isn't even out yet. It's not the end of the world but a lot of modders are on the razors edge between the enjoyment they receive from modding, and not wanting to put up with the stress it adds. Having people hassle them for updates on the forums is unfortunately the last straw for many. I think @Snark had an excellent post about the topic here: With all that said, I don't think your original post actually broke the rule.
  5. Specifically this one, they added it yesterday to try and protect mod authors now that 1.1 is here/almost here. Since you likely haven't seen them (to be fair, I doubt most people actually do read them when they sign up), here are the full rules of the forums. Oh ok, almost like the difference between the normal HECS and the one from Asteroid Day. Philae is looking really awesome btw. If I may ask, what happened to the cancelled parts on the Roadmap? Just trying to cut things out to speed progress?
  6. So, the Agena's second texture sheet has a bit of space left. If nobody objects, I'm probably going to use it for the ADTA's RCS module, which would double as an adapter to 0.625m, and likely also have a shroud for launching in a canonical configuration.
  7. Generally speaking, I think you would find more success if you made a working mod first and proved that you're capable of following through on something before someone will help you. Modding is something that has to be self motivated. If you are trying to add new parts, making some, even if they are lackluster for a first attempt, at least shows that you're interested in actually following through. With that said, do you have any ideas for what you'd like to do..? That's usually the first thing you need. Once you have that, you can start learning things one step at a time.
  8. @tygoo7 if I may ask, what differentiates the 67P core from the stock QBE?
  9. Uhhhh, off the top of my head, the frame could have the probe core built into it, and that would be a cool / unique part. Also the legs, the landing verniers (dunno how you'd fuel them, possibly another separate part) and some of the instruments. I noticed that when I was taking the screenshots last night! I think I messed it up last time I exported it from Unity, and hadn't used it much since. I went in and fixed it (read: Made the colliders resemble the actual mesh even less) and now it works better. Yeah, no. Like @VenomousRequiem said, there's no real point. At the end of the day, while collaboration can be fun, I think most mod authors prefer a high level of autonomy. It's a pretty personal thing and it's easier to not have someone else you have to creatively answer to. That's not to say me and @akron won't work together on stuff in the future, we have talked about it before.
  10. @akron'd better get around to it in time then! It's not as if he doesn't have six months or so of warning... Edit: Also I badly burned my left hand putting out a grease fire in the kitchen earlier, so that's it for me for tonight. I was hoping to get more done. :/ edit2: Honestly at this point I just try and tag akron in every single post I make just to watch him jump
  11. *shrug* I'm sure @akron will do a good job with it. Many hands make light work, etc. I'm significantly behind where I'd hoped to be by now, so I'm trying to cut away things that I can pass to other modders. Anyways, here's what I accomplished tonight:
  12. @hraban I can't... for some reason it does that on this work PC. It's not blank lines, they are the spacer below it that I can't edit but somehow expands.
  13. I assume he means the Luna 9 from Tantares?
  14. I, uh, oops. I forgot to say that. Sorry. The antennas were the last thing that didn't conform to the now-standard naming convention.
  15. @OTmikhail ok well I won't quote... but, yeah. Near the end of the Gemini / MOL dev cycle, once the majority of the station parts are done and I can test stuff, I'll start taking a look at what else I can add. There will probably be some special parts to turn Agena into a resupply craft. Maybe some sort of flexrack type thing on the sides of the fuel tank, and just enclose it in a shroud...
  16. I don't think that would break KIS. It would just make BDB parts not have inventory or be able to be picked up. TRAILS probably doesn't have KIS inventory yet since it's beta, not sure if there are any compatibility patches for it yet. I was actually talking to Venomous the other day about sticking a Gemini docking adapter on Agena to make a resupply vessel. They'll definitely get done before I move to Apollo. Things have just been crazy lately, and most nights when I get home I'm dead tired and the thought of UV unwrapping stuff (which is what needs to get done for the next intermediate release) makes my head spin. Hopefully once I settle into a more regular schedule for the rest of my 6 month internship, things will pick up a bit of speed again. EDIT: Do those quotes show up strange for anyone else? My work computer does weird things to the quote blocks.
  17. I've recently started adding specular maps to my textures, it's amazing how much of a difference they make.
  18. DMSA actually does support doing dependency checks! That is an interesting idea actually. I like it a lot. Though I think I would do it another way, in the case of the mass spec. For testing soil samples, etc, it would be run from the scooper and that would have a dependency on the mass spec. Currently, I don't think there is a way to trigger animations on parts other than the one performing the experiment. I'm not sure, I was thinking that it would just be handwaved for whatever experiments we wanted to have separate versions. I have a number of cool / unique experiment ideas for Gemini that would be different than the usual 'click to make it do science' stuff. Things like having an advanced micrometeorite experiment (and exposure surface, rather than just a counter) that would be launched on an unmanned probe but have to be recovered by hand. Stuff like that. If anyone is familiar with the experiments done on Gemini (and mercury, for that matter) please let me know if there are any interesting ones I can do!
  19. I think Surveyor got moved to Coatl Aerospace. I've been offloading probe stuff onto @akron since I figure most people really just want me to get to Apollo at this point. The chute is a separate part. @Beale is making an IVA for the capsule (do you know that it is his part..?). Retropack, well, idk. Kind of unnecessary in KSP. However I think the smaller Blue Gemini service module he was planning would work well with the small retros. Also, belated thank you to @politas! BDB is now CKAN indexed! It only took 7 months.
  20. Hey y'all! On the off chance that any of you were dying to try out the Agena docking port, I've pushed a dev build to GitHub. It includes the touched up Atlas, Mercury and Agena, includes the Agena Docking Port and Antenna, a couple new antennas as well as breaking all the old ones. It also includes @Beale's latest TRAILS beta, so that you can recreate a Gemini docking with an Agena Target Vehicle. It theoretically was all tested in 1.1. I need to know if people can reliably dock Gemini and Agena, and if the problems with the Mercury capsule throwing EVA kerbals around are fixed.
