  1. This is honestly the reason I don't want to make C-8 - it's a bunch of new diameters of tanks and stuff that would all need to be expanded to do anything more than the basic C-8 configuration. I'm more interested in focusing on "uprated Saturn V" because that sorta just adds to what you can already make, without killing myself too much? Trust me, you'll be able to get some ludicrous builds by the time we're done...
  2. This had me in tears last night. I was so unready for it. Thank you. At this rate it's probably a KSP2 issue, honestly. wot
  3. I'm certainly not interested in how much of a PITA that would be. I'll let someone else do it eventually I honestly am not sure. We'd appreciate some user compatibility configs for what they need. Really you'd need something like... Modular Fuel Tanks so you could "manifest" it (that's probably not the right word but) Glad you're enjoying it!! Yeah. I think I'll try and add some form of omni antenna for it too, which I guess would be shared with the little one needed for the "Orbital Dormancy" CSM posted on the last page.
  4. LM Shelter is a bit more complex than that. The main ascent tanks would also have been removed (so the big bulges on each side), a lot of them show some form of airlock on the "porch", etc. LM Taxi is a LM that is capable of taking down 3 crew and then staying dormant for however long they're doing their ground mission.
  5. I'm not sure what's going to be included. I need to collect what I can about the AAP lunar missions and try to get a true understanding of what they were looking into. I know we'll have the LM-Truck and LM-Taxi. Not sure about the LM-Shelter, I might try and push players more towards the Early Lunar Shelter (the one from your original quote) or other later habs.
  6. I'm not super interested in having a standalone mount, since it kinda clashes with the way I've been doing stuff... but you're also not the only person to ask. I'll think about it. I look forward to your AARs, they're extremely well done! Nothing since that pic. I'm planning on holding on to that for the next dev cycle once the 'basic' (idk if that is the right word at this point...) Saturn stuff is released.
  7. Yeah, all the electronics and stuff are just boxes, they'd simply be rearranged inside a bigger ring. The balance isn't really done so uh... thanks for the feedback haha SOFI tank textures are probably coming eventually. I haven't seen anything that looks like that? I am going to do some S-II variants but they'll be dependent on what I can bash together out of the existing model w/ minimal new stuff. I'm not sure if a 6x mount is doable in that regard - I think the way the engine mounts align with the geometry wouldn't be the same. A 7x mount is definitely doable. It's probably because most of our science runs off a derivative of the DMagic plugin, but I don't know past that. Something to do with Modular Launch Pads. I think @AlphaMensae is removing it. Should we just reduce the ablator amount...? That stuff is heavy.
  8. We're looking into it, any information would be appreciated. I don't think it was really studied IRL though.
  9. Yes, I'm looking into some form of vernier for it. That's... already what they're nicknamed? Someone is currently looking into adopting it but I have no idea what the result will be. Saturn 1C
  10. Yes, I am planning on doing the Block II AARDV. I'll be using the HabTech2 Destiny texture as reference since they're meant to be identical if not similar.
  11. This is "someone on the RO server ran the numbers and the ETS Artemis program's J-2A2 can't get the performance it claims without an extension"
  12. Definitely worth looking into at some point, probably not for this update. A strobe, I believe? I didn't put any functionality in for it. Definitely possible, I don't know about Centaur. I could see a proper S-II wetlab being added at some point. I think enough people use them that they'd be worth updating. I just don't want to have to do it myself Yeah, my understanding for these is the end goal is to lay the S-IVB down and semi-bury it in order to get some long term habitable space. In that situation, I think the volume is important and not bringing stuff to fill it out with. re: LM-Truck, I think the down mass is probably sufficient to fit out an S-IVB's internals. it's basically just a descent stage with an ascent stage's worth of cargo mass on top. Definitely doable, might not be doable as a B9 switch. I'll look into it once we start adding more LM stuff. Were there any real proposals for fitting 3 people in an LM? I'd like to know what other modifications they thought it'd need. EDIT: That's just the LM-Taxi, which I was planning on doing some variants of the Ascent/Descent stage for. Sounds good.
