  1. I see them, at least in space while doing rendezvous, rescues and docking.
  2. I guess that Squad will update it as soon as they have recovered from the 1.2 release rush.
  3. I use an Xbox360 controller for the fiddly stuff (aircraft, rovers, docking). Since you have a PS4 you can use that controller if you wish. http://www.howtogeek.com/240152/how-to-use-a-playstation-4s-dualshock-4-controller-for-pc-gaming/
  4. Storing more experiments, like sticking one on top of the mk1 pod, gather science, transfer and drop and sciency parts (like the Jr).
  5. It's been reduced for pointy objects and increased for blunt ones.
  6. I had this too. My lander ran out of fuel and monoprop like 75m off a big honking station (managed to bring the lander to a dead stop). I then had to dock the station to the lander ... It was quite a hairy manoeuvre and it took almost an hour. Edit: After that incident I made sure I always had a small robotic tug/rescue/refueller dock at every station.

  8. All hours are business hours, somewhere on the planet
  9. I'm further north, but same TZ. It looks like it'll actually be released before bedtime
  10. The 1.2-pre has felt silkier to me. But I haven't used any big ships or complex constructions, so it's just a feeling.
  11. HYPE, like a wayward girl, will still be coy To those who woo her with too slavish knees, But makes surrender to some thoughtless boy, And dotes the more upon a new release. -- John K Kerman -- On Hype
  12. Well airbags has been used (with success) for landing on Mars
  13. Erf?! I was wrong, it wasn't the last, pre-1584 was built 00:22.11 2016-10-11 ... Someone's are burning the midnight oil
  14. Well, given that the (hopefully) last pre-release was built 18:12.24 on 2016-10-10 I think they will check some feedback before pushing the button I guess afternoon/early evening UTC-6.
  15. One person isn't a community. Some of the free mods will require the "gold" planet to work, but the majority will not. And community will never agree on anything anyway. It will just adapt and continue to trundle on.
  16. They didn't know what 'monetization model' meant before having a playable version. I'm not sure that they even know now :/ Adding the option of a paid expansion that user can chose pay for or ignore will not have any effect what so ever on the community.
  17. If KSP was an MP game I wouldn't ever got here, I would have been satisfied with EvE.
  18. And a combination of free updates (and esp bugfixes), paid expansions/DLC and free mods has proven to work for many companies and communities. The only thing that really kills a community is then the IP owner decides to go legal all over their own community.
  19. I see no issues with paid DLCs. If one is offered that I want for a price I'm willing to pay they I'd buy it. If not I'd just ignore it. And for the issues with free mods getting adapted to require a paid DLC you just have to look at the immense archives of CivX and SimCityX free mods (not to mention MS Flight/FSX or X-Plane). All neatly sorted and selectable on what DLC/Expansion packs (paid or not) that is required.
  20. I'm in this camp too. I tend to have the most fun building stuff, and once I've flown new stuff a number of times I let MJ do it for me. Esp for ascent since I tend to tweak and revise way too many times and I when I want to evaluate designs I want the same ascent profile every time I tweak and retry. Calculations I do by hand (or rather calculator or spreadsheet), or by trial'n'error
  21. It might be the case but I wouldn't bet on it. Personally I'll keep my pitch-fork sharp but under the desk until the date becomes the 12:th in Mexico
  22. Mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, etc) and nuts (cashew, walnut, etc) as snacks. Tea (or an occasional low alc beer) on weekdays, beer and an occasional Islay on fri-sat.
  23. It's not gone, it's just not added yet. It's a new feature in 1.2, the video was probably recorded using the pre-release.
